A totally non-wow moment....i think i just puked a lil in my mouth...

I hope I never see this guy again.......my friend just posted this on his Facebook page and I was stopped like a deer in the headlights, OMG this pic of me is horrible but its the sad truth and my head isnt stuck in the sand....

But you are doing soooo good now!!! Don't beat yourself up over what is in the past!!

We all know how you feel.  Its important to remind ourselves of the past lives we lived so we never return there again.  I, for one, avoided cameras at all costs pre op so there arent too many floating around.  I did make sure to take pictures right before wls and along the way. 

I was taking pre plastics pictures of my arms and boobs the other night and decided it was time to update my naked pictures.  I looked at the current ones and thought "yuck"!!  Then, I dug out the naked pre WLS pictures and compaired the side by side and was amazed at the difference...the current ones didn't look so bad anymore....the transformation, while not perfect....has been amazing. 

Yeah...none of us want to ever go back to where we were and none of us will as long as we stick together!

I wouldn't have known you, hands down.

But don't get upset over those photos - that is what makes us realize each day how far we've come.  How much better off we are now...and even when we aren't perfect or are in a stall or whatever the case may be....we are NOT that person in those photos from the previous years.

I am fine, it just bothers me that I wasnt that bothered then.....does that make sense...????   im pissed at myself for letting things get to that point , but its ok b/c looking at that pic is motivation for me today. I wanna get that thing blown up like a poster to remind me of whats in the rearview mirror....

It makes TOTAL sense.  Just tonight while at a friends house his screen saver is various photos.  A WHOLE lot of photos were from their sons baptism, which was two years ago and which my husband and I were the Godparents.

I absolutely could not believe the pics I was looking at - and I've looked at my pre op pics ALOT  BUt these were ones I haven't seen probably since they were taken.  I didn't say anything at the house but when we got home I said to Brian "Did you notice the pictures on the computer?"  And without batting an eye he said "Yes I did and I know what you are going to say - and I will be perfectly honest - I had no idea you were THAT big.  I hope you don't take offense to that"  I didn't take offense to it.  What I took offense to is my shear ignorance at the time, as I remember picking out that outfit because I looked "good" in it.  And lemme tell you - I looked anything BUT good in that outfit.  It happened to be lilac...so we would've made quite a pair - you in your "salmon grimace outfit" and me in my purple grimace outfit.

..that's a nice shirt though ...
