update- Doc Boe visit + work vent lol...

Ok, I get the hint from God... after todays visit... he is the 4th doctor to tell me to quit my job... this time not because of the mold or the chorline smell but because of the stress...

Let me start at the begining lol... last night I went into work because I would be working with my friend Mary from MOPS and 2 high school girls- Tori and Kristin... so if things got bad I could leave but I could also make up my hours I missed from my hospital visit... I don't get sick days or vaction days... so you miss work... no money...

Well, today as I am getting ready to head out the door for Barix... I get a text from one of my high school workers... today the township school district was off... so I had 2 of the girls working with the 2 older women... who I am now on going to call old bitty hick hags... the Hags jumped all over the girls trying to drag out info about me once they found out I worked last night... and didn't let up either... they wanted all kinds of details and the girls were smart... gave them the very basics... let out at 11pm weds... given pain killers (just one), and was out cold for most of yesterday... but to me it wasn't any of their business... if they were sooooo concern... why didn't they call my cell or home numbers? They had both...

Last night when I went into work... the Hags took down my decorations... I bought the stuff and they pitched it all... and made EASTER EGGS to hang on the wall... now I'm a Christian... but not everyone that comes to the gym is... I have a lot of Muslims, Jews, etc... we have people from all over the world and all different religions... and I want to respect those people and their religious views as well... to me they need to come down before the parents get upset... but I didn't just rip them down... I wanted to get the HAGS to get why we can't leave them there... we had a lot of parents at Christmas time upset with the HAGS singing Christmas Songs...

So, I am getting all kinds of text messages and phone calls from the girls... because they feel trapped in the middle and the HAGS won't leave them be... then to add more to the mess... the HAGS brough in our sub... now I can never really use our sub because she always has something going on... always... she has 3 kids and lots of church stuff going on... but it makes it hard when I need to sub her in... she is always busy... well she came in yesterday complaining about not getting hours... so the HAGS decided to bring her in today... and they never looked to see who was going to be in... so there was FIVE people there... only FOUR were needed.. argh...

Part of the issue is that the Hags don't see me as their boss... I didn't hire them... the manager of the gym did... so that basic start of being their boss was taken from me... they also think because they are older and grandparents that they know all... now I have been a manager before and never had an issue with older employees... ever... and I was way younger then too lol... I know what they did while I was gone was a power play...

Again they never called me... etc...

So, by the time I get to Boe, I am in a lot of pain again... first thing out of his mouth is why do you look so stressed... so I do a super quick fill in and he says QUIT... he thinks that my colon is stressed out/upset... or maybe something got stuck... who knows right now... but he said to quit to get rid of this souce of stress... and he thinks I will start to feel way better!

The nut came in... didn't tell me anything new... told her some of my recipes and was super happy with them... she said that if I can't hit 2000 calories to at least try to hit 1800... so that is do able... I think lol...

But as a treat... on the way home Jeremy and I hit the Red Robin by there... We had never been there and soon there should be one in our area... like 5 miles away... so it was good... ate only half of my burger there... and the other half for dinner... I only got a cheese burger... Jeremy got some wiskey burger... and loved it... and Lore enjoyed the leftover french fries we brough home for her since she was at my MIL for the doc visit...

Well sorry so long but there it is... so if your company is hiring in the KOP/Wayne area, or near by please let me know... or Lancaster area... because tonight so far I have submitted about 10 resumes on Monster.com lol... last week it was only 3... so I am going to be very proactive in getting out...

Shannon - Glad to hear that the Dr Boe visit went well. Unfortunately I know what you mean about the money but your health (and that of the baby) has to come in somewhere too - that is priceless. I know the prediciment. Good luck with the job search! I know that times are tough on there I just hope something comes your way quickly!

I'll keep my eyes and ears out for any good jobs!!

Stress can do very bad things to our bodies (and minds). It sounds like a job change is definitely in your future.

I work at Freedom Business Center in KOP. I think I mentioned before that a new company, Crickett Communications, just moved into our building - they have been having job fairs and training, etc. I don't know if they have filled all positions but I do believe they have a first and second shift. Its in a good location - right off 322, 202 and the expressway - very easy to reach.

Go online to Crickett and see what you can find out - when I go in Monday I'll take a walk up there to see what they might have or if they're hiring.

Right now on Crickett's website the only thing open in the KOP area is a trainer... and while I have worked a lot of retail... I don't have that kind of a background... and the other jobs listed are all retail and listed as Philly jobs... I don't think I can stand on my feet anymore like that...

But please see what they have listed in their offices... because Jeremy and I could car pool down because he is right off that first exit on to 202 off of 422... I even have 2 resumes in for 2 different jobs where he works lol...

btw- do you mean 422... because Jeremy has never heard of 322... but he doesn't know all the roads... he is trying to think if he knows that office building...

I did mean 422 - my little laptop at home drives me nuts - that was a typo. There actually is a 322, tho - its down my way but no where near KOP.

hehehe... I understand about typing on laptops... they drive me bonkers... but we looked up 322 later... I think it goes from harrisburg to erie or something like that lol...

Shannon, I am sorry you are going thru so much stress but I agree with Liz. Also the "Hags" need to be reprimanded and told about "chain of command" and had no right to involve other people.  I guess they never heard of confidentially. If you want them to know you would have told them and they had no right to "pump" someone for info.  Like you said they had your #'s. I hope you feel better. What kind of work are you looking for?  I may have something in mind in the KOP area. Love Red Robin . Can't eat much for obvious reasons. 1/2 a burger and I am done. The manager of the gym need to have a chat with them.  Not to be rude but it really kinda ticks me off when we all try to celebrate the holidays and no matter what someone of a different religion always makes a comment. People can be so exasperating! Take care and take it easy and let me know what kind of work you do.
