I can never been normal... I'm home

I got home around 11:45 last night... and let me tell you I'm so wiped out because I never got to sleep at th ER...

Ok, so I get to Reading Hospital ER... go in and they had no idea where to put me... why because my last period was in Nov., so because of that - it should make me 17 weeks... but I'm only 14 weeks... stupid PCOS... so because of "their rules" I was stuck in OB ER...

I knew I wasn't having OB issues... but it didn't matter... so after telling an OB doc who sooooo didn't get it... nice man but a putz... he sent me for an ultrasound for the baby and an Upper GI... again... wasn't having issues up there lol... saw what my mom went through when she had her gall bladder out... and I knew my appinedix was fine too... didn't really hurt on that side... it was mostly the left side... below the belly button...

Well, after that they drew some blood... and gave me an iv... that is after they blew a vein... I told them where the sweet spot was but they didn't believe me lol... now that nurse does lol... she gave me some kind of a pain killer... I really didn't need it... because it wasn't that kind of a pain... but I was out cold 3 mins later... to just get woken up 30 mins later by nurses looking for supplies... it seems my room was also a supply room... yippy skippy- NOT! this went on for an hour... in and out in and out... then the putz of a doc came in and then kept turn on and off the lights... and yes I yelled at him because OMG just leave me alone... so I gave up on sleeping till I got home... and read my book...

An hour later (it is now 2pm- they were really slow with getting things done for me) the doc comes in and tells me he wants me to eat... ok... bring on the crackers because I am so hungry I could eat my shoe... well the next person I see is the transporter lady again telling me I am to go for a CAT scan... um... can't have those when pregnant chicka... so she goes and tells the nurse... I'm right... and she goes away... still no food... 4pm rolls around and Jeremy tells me he is on his way over with Lore to visit... 4:30.. still no food or drink... 4:40 food shows... and another nurse 5 min later brings more... with jello... so now i have 2 packages of gram crackers... can't... got sugar... tossed in purse for Lore lol... 12 pack of crackers... 1 cup of apple juice and 1 cup of ice water and 1 thing of green jello...

I ate the jello and some crackers... 5 mins later the pressure pain was back... argh... tummy felt rock hard again... so I was bad... I drank... to flush the stuff out... and that helped... some... so I didn't eat anything else... Lore and Jeremy shows up and she has a happy meal... omg... is it wrong that I wanted to take my kids food... because I was still super hungry... i didn't...

Around 5 I got a new IV bag... sorry Pam didn't look to see what kind lol... and was told I was going to stay the night... because when the doc came in to tell me to eat I told him I still felt horrible etc.. and again he said it was the stomach flu... omg I am the queen of puking and the stomach flu... this wasn't it... because once it starts... it doesn't stop... for days... so I said keep me to watch me...

So, I just got moved to observation... where my nurse was a dad from the gym who brings his little boy... so i filled him and the new doc in... they agreed with me that this isn't the stomach flu... but not sure what it was... this doc listened to my lower half... and he could hear some rumbling... but because I ate that stupid cracker he had no idea if it was that or something else...

At this point I get the pulse thingie on my finger, leeds on my chest, and a blood presure cuff... first time all day btw... and they agreed I have really low blood pressure... just barely in the normal range... oh yeah this baby messes with my blood pressure... I can be super upset and it lowers it lol... which all of that is a different post lol...

I finally have a TV... so I wach NCIS, House, more NCIS... some food tv... peeing my brains out... etc... finally get tired again.. to go to sleep... and bam... lights back on and i'm being told I'm to drink and if that goes well i'm going home... oh what the hell is with these people and not letting me sleep... argh... I've only been up since 4:20am...

So I drink the apple juice and the diet ginger ale... no issues... sent home... told not to work... but I am working tonight because I don't have sick days...

I drank some broth when I got home and the warm stuff seem to help with the pressure... and went and passed out...

I talked to doc Boe's assist and they are having me come in tomorrow at 11am to get checked out... he doesn't like they didn't do certain things... no idea what those things are... but oh well...

Lorelei is at my MIL... Jeremy is at work... and I am on the couch with the clicker and going to watch Criminal Minds and then take a nap later... off to get some apple juice... tootles...

WOW!!!  What morons!!!  I just don't get it.  Why is it that people refuse to listen to the patient??  We know our bodies...yes, we are not doctors, but we know ourselves.  It's just incredible that people just don't know how to listen.

Shannon, I'm glad you're home and out of that retarded hospital.  I hope that Dr. Boe can find something and that you get to know what is going on with you.  Take care and keep us posted.

Aww sweetie so sorry to hear that you didn't get any answers!!!! Wave when you drive by tomorrow! lol I am just off the willow grove and king of prussia interchanges. I sure hope that Dr Boe can fix what is wrong.

Might be a stupid question but can't they do an ultrasound and see  most of what they can with a CAT scan or an X-ray??

I HATE ER's - now I would go to see Pam if I had to - at least I know that the nurses kick ass!!

If you need someone to talk to I am always here! Wish I was closer so I could help out with Lore.

*hugs*

US can't show things like appendix's and bowel obstructions unfortunately :(
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

That's a damn shame.  How could they let you just lay there all day like that.  Next time find a way down to Barix.  I know it's a bit of a hike for you, but at least I'm sure you'd have some answers.  Try to get some rest...you really need it.  Hopefully tomorrow you will get the answers you need to get you back to normal.

You are probably going to think I am insane but I still think its gas.  When I was pregnant gas was 20 times worse than it was after surgery!  I would bloat.... I had contraction like pains all through my belly cause it would tighten up and then I'd get a sharp pain.  When was the last time you had a really good bowel movement?
