Yes it is the same thing.

The sugars are high because they are "natural" sugars from milk.  I don't know what your guidelines are, mine was no more of 5gm of ADDED sugar in a serving.  That meant if in the first FIVE ingredients there was:  Sugar, honey, molasses, corn syrup etc. etc. etc. AND the sugar gms were over the limit, I can't have it.

However, Dannon LIte and Fit is made with splenda.  So, there is no added sugar so even though it has 11gm of sugar in it, it is still a "safe" food.

Every surgeon is different so follow your guidelines.  What I can tell you, is that as an RNY patient you are susceptible to dumping syndrome which is a not fun experience.  It causes cold sweats, stomach pain, sometimes vomiting, shakiness - kind of like mimics low blood sugar.  It is caused from high sugar foods in those who have this happen to them (not everyone has this experience from high sugar foods)  That's why I went into the whole sugar gm thing in my explanation.  There are people on here who also dump from "natural" sugars.  So - if you find you are getting sick on a food and you have ruled out the problems of eating to fast etc be aware that it could be dumping syndrome.

Good luck!

dannon light and fit also has smoothies that you can drink... they do have little pieces of fruit in them.. so I would wait till you can have them... but they are great... love them!

I like the dannon lite and fit and I also like the yoplait lite.  They have some awsome flavors.  Someone will have to tell me if its a bad one.....but I'll probably still eat it cause the key lime pie and the strawberry shortcake are to die for......snort!

I haven't had any trouble with Light and Fit  in the beginning my husband would add some extra unflavored protein to up the grams. I still eat it. Even had the grandson eating it in the morning with me when I was watching him. Now I watch the grand daughter and every morning she goes to the fridge and knows where it is kept. She is hooked also....
