Eileen I am so sorry that this happen to you and as much as we all tell you not to let it bother you and point out all the things they were way off base on the bottom line is that words can hurt and effect us. You are someone I have met that has the most sensative of hearts and always a caring word for everyone.

This has me so upset for you because you did not deserve to hear the ignorance of  two people that are cluless and in a proffessional setting at that.  I think that I would not be able to let it go to a degree but then again I am personally fed up with people not being accountable for their hurtful words.

I think if I was you I may have to let someone know what happen to let it be known the conversation was heard.

You are a much better woman then these two people and have a class and tact they wish they had.

Thanks Beth.  That means a lot to me.  Thankfully I have tons of support from all my peeps here.  What more could anyone want!

When people gossip and say hurtful things it is never about the targeted person, it is always pain and anger they have about themselves.  It is easier to leave it and let her wallow in her nastiness.
You are awesome and deserve respect

Nicole I have learned that lesson the last month ...After tears and way to many hours of thought....In the end it is their issue not mine...

Eileen

As I was reading this I felt myself getting so angry at her for saying those ugly things about one of our best peeps.  My old reaction would be to cry, and think about it over and over and over and over.......   Now that I am so much more together :) I'd realize that she is most likely insecure, jealous and plain old ignorant.  Maybe one day she will learn to think before she speaks, and learn how to properly hang up a phone.

You really are a wonderful person and she better not mess with you anymore or else she will have all of us to contend with.

Hugs, hugs, hugs

Oh buddy, why would I care about what anyone says when I have all my friends here on OH to take care of me.  All of the responses have been so supportive.  I can't thank you enough.

Eileen...Im sorry you had to experience that!

I know on our phone system, you can forward messages to other voice mails in the company.  I would forward the vm to her and never say a word....let her sit there and sweat, especially after she finds out you will be her supervisor.

All anyone can do, is live their life the way that is best for them and not worry about anyone else's opinions.

Wow, that really is a great idea.  I do have that capability.  I'm gonna have to think about that one for a while.
