I'm really sorry you had to listen to that, Eileen - ignorance is never easy to digest. And they are the ones *****fuse to open their minds instead of their mouths.

Maybe once you're her supervisor you can plan a meeting on how to use Voice Mail!!

Take away the good points of their conversation - that you're much smalller now, etc., and ignore the rest of it. I hate to admit it but I used to be one of the ignorant ones who said they'd never have this kind of surgery...until I got a reality check with a photograph of myself and then I realized I could never do it alone and studied up on it and look how far I've come. We all have.

And quite honestly, that 'attorney' shouldn't have been discussing you either - they're lucky you're a nice person and don't turn the recording over to HR, because in my humble opinion that was definitely a form of harrassment, even tho you weren't meant to hear it.

You're a great lady - hold your head high and proud of who you are and what you've done with your life. Ignorance will always be around...shame on them.

Hi Kathy.  I shared this with my daughter who is an HR Director and she also said I should turn the recording over to my HR Department.  But I'm not going to go there.  I'm going to shake this off and continue with my successing.  Fortunately, in the 16 months since my surgery this is the first time I have been subjected to this.  So I am considering myself lucky and moving on.

I totally understand - I'm not one to run to HR with stuff like that either - it would cause you more aggrevation in the long run (and more exposure to people you don't care to know about your surgery). I'm glad you're seeing the good side of this and moving on -- lord knows we have enough other stress in our lives!! And she admitted that she eats too much and could lose some weight, so while she contines to get fluffier you'll continue to get thinner and that in itself will be your reward!

That whole episode reaks!  

When you get to be her Supervisor, fire her at the first opportunity.   1) she can't handle phones  (it could have been a client she was talking about - now there's a lawsuit)  2) she's not a good word processor, and 3) she talks too much and to the wrong people and about the wrong stuff.......Lose lips sink ships!!   

Oh Jackie...you are too funny.  But truer words have never been spoken.  And with things the way they are today, it would be easy to get rid of her for all those exact reasons.  We'll see what happens. 

When I have ran into things like that no matter what it is in life they tend to be jealous... and they might not even know it...

That or they are just plain stupid... I think she is a bit of both... hehehe...

Blow them off and just be fit and FAB! Because we know you are! If you really wanna get them talking be a huge boob job lol... mahahaha!

It's funny you should mention the jealousy thing, because this particular word processor is no light weight.  She is definitely a candidate for WLS.  Maybe that's it...maybe not.  It's still bothersome to think that they don't have anything better to discuss than me.  Oh well, I am taking everyone's advice and just blowing them off.  Thanks for responding.  Always appreciate your input.

hehehe... welll I just thought of something... send her some info through inter office mail about barix... mahahahaha... sorry... but I think it would be funny if it showed up with no name on it etc... but for her...

P.S. --   Hire Laureen....that would never happen if she were onboard ;-)
