I cried at Old Navy today

Hi every one,

I am having an unexpected emotional day today. I went shopping for spring clothes today because I have nothing that fits anymore. I'm wearing a size 14 now so I took some 14's, a 16 just in case and a 12 into the dressing room.I put the 14's on first and they fit great, sort of loose but not sloppy loose. I tried the 12 just to see how close they were to fitting and they fit. I just stood there and cried all by myself. NEVER in my life do I remember wearing a 12, 14, or 16 for that matter. I think they were happy tears but yet I feel sad. Sad is not really the right word....I can't explain it. Is it possible I am mourning the loss of the big girl I used to be? or worried this isn't real or won't last? Maybe both? sigh.....I'm not sure.

Anyway, they have all of their capri pants on sale for $19 and I found 2 pair of capris on the clearance rack for $4.99. Yippee!

I am coming up on one year and am very close to the 100 pound lose milestone. Today, all I could think about was Dr Boe. If I had his phone number I would have called him to thank him once again for helping me change my life. I really need to hug him today but guess I'll have to wait until I see him next month.

Hugs to all of you and thanks for all of your support and encouagement this year.

Teresa

I am so happy for you.  My surgery is March 30th and I can't wait to start my new life.  I probably would have sobbed out loud at being able to put on a 12!!! Congrats...I hope to have as much success.

Teresa,

Congrats on your milestone and achievement!  Just want to say I did the same thing in the dressing room of JC Penny back in the fall, when I put on size 12 cords and just like you I never dreamed of wearing such a size.  I'm still in size 12, though they fit losely, my goal when I started was a size 10, I think I'll make it, but, of course, now I want to be an 8 (lol). . .  if I stay at 12 the rest of my life I can live with that!

Hugs and good wishes on your upcoming surgiversary, may you keep on your successing journey!

Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Tears of joy, definitely - and congratulations!! I doubt they were sad tears - probably just tears of amazement, too - I know there are times when I still can't believe this new person I've become. Dr Boe is going to be so proud of you!!

Tucker and Molly are part of the board now?  Awesome!!

Of course....the pic doesn't do justice for the amount of slober they produce....perhaps a flashing one of them and Niagra falls would be more appropriate??

yeah...you are right...Niagra falls would work LOL.  He decided to lay on top of me on the sofa last night (like I had much of a choice once he was up there LOL) and slimed me.....the whole top of my shirt was wet.  the boy needs a bib!
