Got home around 500 today.  Dr. Eid and everyone tells me that I am doing very well.  So far so good.  I am still pretty sore, especially with getting up and down.  The main problem i am having is the gas..just cant get it OUT LOL.

I am pretty tired too, so i wont hang out long.  I will try to pop back on in the next few days

I want to thank all of you for your support and good wishes..and especially to Heather D for being a wonderful Angel to me.

Huggs all
talk to you soon

congrats to making it through the surgery and making it home!  welcome to the loser's bench also!  listen to your body and do things as you are able...everyone will tell you to walk, walk, walk, and sip, sip, sip....and keep moving!

welcome home! The more you walk the easier it will be to pass the gas - you can also ask your sugeon about GasEx - it has been a lifesaver for me!

Happy Healing and welcome to the bench!

Yes - I recall getting up and down to be very uncomfortable.

As for the gas - walk, walk, walk, walk walk.....then walk ;)

Congrats and welcome to the bench.  Just make sure you walk, walk, and do more walking.  I walked so much the first couple of days I think I wore out my carpeting!

Congrats on your surgery! I didn't have a gas problem-my surg was open not lap. Getting up and down was very difficult with the 8in incision I had. I was more comfortable sleeping in a recliner-less pull on the belly.

Sipping as much as possible, and walking when you can are the two most important things to accompli****ried to do a little more each day of both. Take naps when you're tired. Be good to yourself.

Welcome home! Good luck with the gas. I was in the hospital for five days and I couldn't fart.. As SOON as I got out, I was in the pharmacy getting my prescription filled for liquid vicodin, and THEN I farted....loud.
