As far as the emotions - well get ready for a wild ride! They will be all over the place from now until a few weeks after surgery, minimum. Take them as they come - take the time to really explore them and see what is causing them and to FEEL them. I did not and had a total melt down day of surgery in the lobby of the facility where I was having surgery. Blubbering idiot is the ONLY way I can describe myself. To the point where they almost cancelled my surgery because they felt "You might not be ready if you are this upset" (That by the way, was what snapped me out of my "tantrum")
