rare and unexpected wow..

The farther out you get, the less frequent wow moments become.  I haven't lost weight in almost a year and not for a lack of trying, but rather my body just being plain ole stubborn.  I tend to bounce back and forth between the same few pounds from day to day, but it has yet to make a break for lower numbers.  However, ever since taking up karate in October, I have noticed my lower body trimming down.  A couple months ago I bought a skirt at the good will in a size 12....it was skin tight...I looked like a stuffed sausage in it...but it was only $4.00 so what the hell right?.  Last night I decided to try it again, even though when I tried it a few weeks ago, it was still tight.  Well, it fit perfectly!  Yay!  Now, I still can't fit my f***ing thighs into size 12 jeans, but I will take the size 12 skirt. One of these days, the size 12 (and lower) jeans will come.  Its funny how the scale won't budge ,but the clothing sizes will.  One of these days, the scale is going to have to move I guess!

Who else had a wow moment this week???  I LOVE hearing about peoples wow's.

Congratulations! Great WOW for you! I think its so funny how our bodies catch up to our weight losses at times - I know mine has transformed a few times over the past year, and yet the scale hardly budges sometimes. All that karate and kicking is really paying off for you - way to go!!

ps: My latest wow moment was Tuesday - I went to a co-workers for a party Saturday night and saw his daughter who interned with us for a summer 2 years ago. After I left the party she told her dad that I looked 'Amazing!' - he told me Tuesday when he came to work - that made me feel really good. I had on a black mock turtleneck with a camel colored short jacket and fitted jeans that night - aother co-worker (woman) told me I need to start wearing fitted clothes more often, that it really shows how much I lost. So I guess that was 2 wows!

I haven't really had any wow's lately. Like you said the further out you get the less you hear them!

Thank God for smaller sizes...I haven't lost any weight since I started lifting weights in November and it was getting very frustrating. But I have gone down 3 pant sizes since then,  So keep on trying those smaller clothes. It's GREAT!!!!

Hey katie,

I was just thinking about you today and how I haven't seen much from you.  Hope all is ok and know you are being thought of!
