All right...yesterday I decided that on May 17th, I am going to enter my very first half-marathon in Wilmington Delaware  (thanks Kurt!).  So, for the last few weeks, I have been running/walking on the treadmill at the gym every day and strength training with a personal trainer once a week.  Tonight, I told the personal trainer that I am going to enter a half-marathon in May, so she is going to put together a training schedule for me to prepare for this...and there's no better time than the present to begin.  Anyway, she said here we go...you will run for 1 mile without stopping...so I began...and low-and-behold, I did it in 12 minutes!!!!!  I have not been able to run for a number of years now due to my weight and breathing....I can't believe I actually did it!  I am tired as all get out right now...but it's a good tired!  Big high five's all around for everyone that has achieved something they haven't achieved in quite a long time!!!   Keep on successing!!

What a great birthday gift you have given yourself!    Congratulations on your successing journey!  I, too, can now run, though not sure I do a whole mile in one clip, but it's a great feeling to be doing things that I never dreamed of, never mind, wanted to do before!

Hugs, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen
