OT: for the geeks out there - Happy Square Root Day

Now with that aside, in all honesty...I DON'T GET IT!!! I mean, I understand 3 times 3 equals 9 and I understand the square root of 9 equals 3, but what is that you have with 9 to the 1/2 power equals 9 to the 1/2 power? Please explain!!! Math was never my strongest suit ;)

Hey Lisa - sorry to confuse.
9 to the power of half (1/2) means "the square root of 9".
3*3 = 9 , therefore the square root of 9 is 3 (just like 4*4=16, so the square root of 16 is 4).
Since the date was 3/3/9 it was/looked like the formula for the square root of 9 - and that was what my little formula was trying to show (poorly) :). The next "whole" square root day would be April 4th, 2016 :) (i.e.: 4/4/16).
