Barix??????
Quick question does anyone know what is going on at Barix? I had my three month check up and then my 6 month check up was cancelled and rescheduled three times by Barix so it turned into my 9 month appointment which was also cancelled...so I have not been able to call and reschedule yet but just read that someone else has to wait two months for an appointment which would then put me in at a year out...has this happened to anyone else? I am starting to get a little worried here....
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Thanx!

That is what I remember from the consult...1 year at least and 2 years is best...but who would have thought then that my biological clock would be ticking this loud ...this soon!!??? Anyways, I am still losing and am down about 100 lbs...so it is a good start..ideally 50 more lbs would be awesome!! But we will see!!
Hope that you will be hearing the pitter patter of tiny feet very soon!!! Hope all is going well onyour end!! Are you doing okay with everything?

I think that the big thing with when to have a baby is when you stabilize your weight because if you go into ketosis (from loosing weight rapidly) and that can be dangerous for the baby. It can be done though!!! Good luck with the planning - it's so exciting!

Not to be a butinski here, but aren't you supposed to wait a year or two post-RNY to have a baby? Make sure all your levels are where they need to be. . . for some reason I thought when I attended my initial consult that Dr. P said you should wait 2 years before attempting pregnancy. . . Sorry, that is a question for Dr. P, but what I remembered her saying. . .
Hope you get your green light and have a wonderful family that you will be so up to enjoying with your new found health!

Laureen-
No you are not a butinski!! Yes they said at the initial consult 1 year at the least 2 is best....but for me the biggest reason for having the RNY was to get down to an acceptable weight for conception...I am not planning on getting pregnant tomorrow but would like to get some sort of time line in place for myself and hubby...because when all is said and done there is a huge possibility more likely than not that I will not be able to concieve at all..and in that case we need to start either IVF or the adoption process both scenarios take an enormous amount of time and energy to complete. I just want to be prepared and ready for the time being...besides I am a long term planner by nature so I am just trying to get all my ducks in a row !!! LOL
But hopefully I will get my one year appt and then a green light soon after!! Thank you for your kind words and encouragement it is much appreciated!!!!!
Much luv!!
