At least now you know the problem.  Cortisone shots can really help for a while.  My mom has also had Synvisc(??) shots in her knees, which also helped.  

So here's to better feeling knees that will happily take you down the aisle.

So glad you got some answers Mary and that you seem to really love your doctor.  The others have mentioned there are a lot of alternatives available prior to needing surgery so I do hope that something helps to clear this up for you.
