And the results are in.....
So I went to my appointment at OAA, and saw the dr...an absolutely wonderful woman.... she bended my knee way further than I think it was supposed to go... and I could tell it wasn't good. she ordered some x-rays, and they came back, and we looked over them together in the office. looks like I have arthritis in my joint, and behind my knee cap.... and more than likely little to no cartlidge in there.... she ordered an mri that i have to have done, but she told me basically my options right now are cortisone shots for now, and ultimately have surgery. and these results were better than what she thought it was going to be... good i guess???
yay for having been 400 lbs!
I won't be having any kind of surgery this year that's for sure, we have a wedding to pay for!
thanks everyone for thinking of me today <3
Maybe not Yay for being 400 plbs but yay for NOT being 400 pounds any more because I can tell you that delaying surgery may not be as much of an option ifl that were the case - although that can be a double edged sword as some surgeons won't do knee replacement or knee surgery until the person loses weight.
I'll be keeping you guys in my thoughts. And if and when you do have surgery - you've got a private nurse 30 mins away.....

The problem with steroids is now after I had way more then my share they found you are limited in how many you can have before they have an adverse effect.
Hang in there it gets better.

Hey, even the doc said the results were better than she thought... so that IS a good thing.
Good luck getting through this..
