Anyone work at / have connections to Lap Corps?
So I called Dr Brader's office to follow up to see if my labs had been recieved yet -no luck. So Karen calls Lab Corps - they have no record of it!! OK now I went 1/27 just to be safe for my 2/5 appt. it usually takes 2 days to get to my primary care Dr. Well there is NO RECORD of the labs in the computer!! I called the draw center but they are closed because of the weather - normally I wouldn't care, just go back and have them re-drawn - but it was something crazy like 9 vials of blood and I felt like crapola for a few days afterward! I'll do it again but don't really want to have to!
Thanks for listening to me vent

OMG, Liz, the SAME EXACT THING happened to me last week, too! Michelle from Barix called them on Friday to find out where my labs are and they had no record of me ever being there, and no clue where all my blood is, and it was something crazy like 5 or 6 vials (I can'****ch, but I think that's what it was). I was starting to feel crazy, so it makes me feel a little better I'm not the only one they've done this to. I also have to go tomorrow for a re-draw and hope that Dr. P gets it by Thursday.
Stupid Labcorp! I hate them with the fire of a thousand suns!

I have no advice. Other than don't use them if you don't have to.
Most of our patients can go where they want so they go to our facilities lab. But a few patients have insurance that requires them to use LabCorp. And we have issues all the time getting results and so forth. they are a pain and unreliable as far as I am concerned.
Good luck.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!
You are right, Quest is just as bad. Just last week they "lost" a patients labs. After complaining by the patient and myself, they magically found them. WHATEVER!
They should treat a patients blood and urine like "gold" as far as I am concerned. It's costly and inconvenient to the patient. sorry............my rant!

I use the Easton Hospital lab across the street from Wally World Nothampton Crossings. My family doctor gets them right off the computer and faxes copies to me and the lab also sends them to my surgeon. I have copies of every thing I do from old MRI films, new CDs and all lab work and all reports.

That is absolutely horrific. I would be writing scathing letters to them if I were you. Points to make: lab draws are an "invasive procedure" which can lead to phlebitis, cellulitis, and repeat draws lead one to be susceptible to "sclerosis" or hardening of the veins due to repeated trauma. Due to the nature of our health conditions which require us to have frequent lab draws, anything extra is certainly of concern. Also considering time away from work, fasting etc etc etc.
Check with your insurance. See if you can have it done anywhere. If so, you can go to a hospital outpatient area and have it done there. To be on the safe side if that is what you do, I would also call and make a second trip to the hospital a few days later and sign a release to get copies in my own little hot hands.
Sorry you are going through this - I would be spitting bullets!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses. ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/thumbsup2.gif)

Pam - thanks for the "ammo"!! I will be writing letters - I want to get the lady at the lab who took them on the phone first and make sure that they aren't just sitting there somewhere - which I am hoping! I am an "easy stick" but that doesn't mean I want to have it done again!! It is fasting and I loose 1-1/2 hours at work on those days because they don't open until7am.
Oh and my crappy insurance makes us go to LabCorp - sucks!
Thanks all!
