Shapewear (X-post)

Hey ladies! I'm going on Spring Break in a few days and I got some really cute clothes. I'd also like to look good in them, so I was wondering what kind of shapewear you've tried out, and how well it's worked. I'm only looking for tank top type shapers, since I'll be wearing shorts and minis.

I have found all types of shapewear is out there these days.  Some are like bra/cami type pieces that are lightweight material.  Some are panty types that have high midriffs that hold you in as well.  I suggest going to the lingerie department of a good department store.  I have found some cheaper stuff at WalMart, but don't have a lot of luck with certain bra sizes, as I have an odd size.

Kohls had up to a 3x in shapeware and a number of different brands and styles. I would check them out.

I haven't used anything on top like a tank top type shaper...however....

I use spanx almost exclusively and love love love them.  They have things like "power panties" which would probably work under shorts and are high waisted to help with the midriff section.

For those looking for more than something under shorts and what not my absolute favorite is Spanx "All the way up"  They are a pain to get on - but lemme tell you - amazing.  It goes from right under neath your bra line all the way into full panty hose. The part from your bra to the bottom of your pelvis is really shaping, and then the top portion of the panty hose, like the pelvis to the bottom of your thighs is like a very tight control top product.  Lemme tell you - sucks in EVERYTHING and gives you a great toned look.  And there is an opening to make using the ladies room possible.  I wear it under just about any dress up outfit including pants and shirts to full dresses.....

I haven't bought anything yet, but I heard that Target has brand comparable to Spanx but cheaper.  I think the designer was also once a Spanx designer.
