Glad I could make you smile, Lisa!  I ended up at Liz's house in the outfit and she took my picture (along with lisa who ALSO took my picture) so hopefully I will get a pic of it posted at some point.

Brian's favorite restaruant....it's basically americana type food  burgers salads along with things like fettuccini and then a seafood selection.  Just about anything you want you can get there - however - and this is why it is his favorite - they have over two pages of desserts.  And really - you don't look at the dessert menu per say - they walk you back into this little separate area and you look at all the desserts they have (some are daily specials) and you pick it out from the case, go back to your table, and tell the waiter what you want.  Of course not nearly as fun for me anymore - but I don't really miss it.  I did take two forkfuls of dessert and was quite content with that.  The restaurants slogan is "Life is short, eat dessert first"

Hope all is well!

Pam

Yes, you definitely made me smile Pam!  And I saw the picture of you in your outfit and you look beautiful!  Glad they were able to take your pic :)

Brian's favorite restaurant sounds good...and I like their slogan ;)  Too funny about the "problem with the reservation" though ;)  I'm so glad that everyone had such a great time!!!

Good morning everyone - yes, stinking cold and windy out there again today - what is with this weather? Took the dog for a walk this morning and froze! Came in and went into the bedroom and stuck my face against hubby's so he knew how cold it was - LOL!!

Not much on my agenda today so I think I'll get cleaned up and go the support group meeting at Brinton Lake. I haven't been able to make the Barix meetings lately so I really want to get to one somewhere. And I have absolutely no excuse not to go today.

Other than that not much on our agenda this weekend. Birthday party tonight for a co-workers wife - we'll make a showing but doubt we'll stay too long.

Stay warm everybody - another cold one out there!!

I spent 7 hours on the dinosaur cake last night, it will go up for auction tonight ... hopefull that brings in a few bucks for the scouts!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

HOLA...

Today when I woke up I felt a little woozy.. got some broth and a popsicle and I feel okay.  Must be because I slept in and didn't have anything in me yet.  I AM glad that I decided NOT to drive to Liz's house today.  (Thanks again, George)  I was going to try to hit Giant before Liz's to check out what kinds of broth I could bring in and get more SF popsicles, but I just wasn't feeling it.  I'll get them whenever, I have plenty of stuff in the house to get me through.

While I was sitting here starting to browse the boards, my doorbell rang.  It was a couple of men from my husband's congregation.  They brought me a really nice bouquet of flowers.  That was SOOOO sweet of them.  I was really surprised!!

So, today I will be heading to Liz's.. Siehara will be spending the afternoon with her friend across the street which will probably make everyone happy!   Later tonight, she was invited to an ice skating thing with some people from school.  I'll have to see how I feel before I decide if we are going to go or not.  Maybe I can get someone else to take her.

Tomorrow there is a carnival at the Jewish Community Center.  My friends are going to drive us there and I will probably just find a chair somewhere and let Siehara come to me when she needs $$.  That way, I am out of the house, still kind of relaxing and getting to see people.

Can't wait to see everyone at Liz's and I will miss those of you who can't make it.

Afternoon Everyone!!

WOO HOO Diane on the smaller sizes!!  Trish, I hope you feel better soon.    Pam, you have every right to rock that memorial service outfit - LOL!!  Lisa, I am so glad you are doing well - I remember how badly I wanted out of the house after surgery.  I had my surgery on Thurs went home sat and was at my sons soccer games on Mon & Tues, I had my drain pulled that Wed (1 wk post op) and pretty much resumed my normal schedule.

This morning, Dawson had a basketball game, then afterwards we went out for breakfast.  This afternoon I am heading to Home Depot to get new shades for my french doors in the dining room.

Have a great day everyone!!

Hi Trish,

I've been having a bit of a hard time keeping up with the boards lately and nearly always seem to find myself a few days behind on posts, but I wanted to let you know I am thinking of you and I hope your ear feels better really soon and I hope that the pain dissipates.  I must admit, childbirth without anesthesia and a root canal do not sound fun -- you are one strong woman!

Hope your therapy appointment was productive and good luck getting your grades done for school and making your chili for your cook-off at church.

Hugs,
Lisa :)

Hello Trish and PA!

It has taken me a very long time to get caught up on the boards but I am finally up to today's posts so I thought I might chime in and say hello :)  I hope you are all doing well and I miss you all terribly!  Whoever is at Liz's cooking class/support group today, I hope you have a wonderful time and I will be thinking of you all from Boston and wishing I could be there!

Today has me busy preparing my applications.  Yes, that is right, applications.  After a lot of thinking and soul searching and researching, I have decided to apply to graduate school for Social Work.  The applications are due very soon so I am busy getting them ready.  Please wish me good luck!!!

Aside from that and the endless job search, things are going well here in Boston and in my new home with Adam (and the dogs, Logan and Lara).  I hope you all are doing well too.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Miss you all,
Lisa :)
