Hi gang,i made it, i'm here,I'm on my way. What a true blast it's been so far with all the feedback and support and well wishes, something I'm learning to accept more of.I wanna thank each and everyone of you who wished me well, made me laugh, cry, think, hope and above all, driven.Yes,I said it! driven.Your stories your pearls of wisdom and your candidness is helping me to realize I'm not alone in this, and that's a biggie for me.
Any who i have lots of folks to thank, but I prefer to do so in person on the 7th at group, which I will do,count on it.I'll let you know that it was this board that has prepared and is preparing me for this, from the simple(walking, sipping,)to the more complex(pain, questions about regret and believe it or not,,,,,,drumroll,GAS)OMFG.thursday night I had'nt blown out the
candles,And I was getting concerned,then scared,then frightened,and then almost panicked
So this little 31 yr old nurse named donna is reassuring me that this is quite common, and if push came to shove(no pun intended)we would go the enema route! brrr yuck and whatever else I was thinking. so I upped my exercises, waliking and followed all of donna's advice and low and behold a beautiful symphony of F major ensued.Jesus what a relief
But I think what I'm trying to say is that this calm, collected and dedicated nurse was such a pro that it  kept a bad situation from getting worse. So donna, and all the nurses and doctors a million thanks(especially you michelle the engine behind the ship)And of course last but not least DR Pupkova,What can I say? you are special in ways that I can't begin to explain so i'll leave it at that,I have many more days, weeks, months, and years to thank you.
So ciao for now and know this folks. You guys are very important to me know.THANX.

Welcome home RICK!!   Yes, that gas is a beyotch.. TG I didn't have ANY problems letting people know that I am around.  This group of people is the BEST!!!

While I didn't have my surgery at Barix, I was still in good hands and know that these folks here are going to support me, make me laugh, cry, hope, and pick me up when I am feeling down.

Welcome to the other side!!

hahahaha - F Major, NICE!!

The next 6 weeks, in my opinion, are tough psycologically.  You are correct - you are *not* in this alone so you give you angel or any one of us a call/email with any questions, issues, or you just want to talk!  Family, of course, is an excellent support group however I've found that a group of folks that have gone through the GBP RNY experinence first hand are wonderful.  For example, with this group you can share your 'WOW' moments and we'll truly understand how awesome it is to finally be able to...i dunno...wrap a towel around yourself, going down a pant size, or just having those first few folks tell you "you look good".

Keep walking and drinking water!!

Rich

SO Glad to see you are home and doing well...You looked great and are goingto do well on this journey that is for sure.

If you need ANYTHING day or night just call and we can take care of it for you we are a family that supports and pays it forward. I for one live by that because ehy I did the worl to be where I am today I could not have walked this path alone without those that walked it before me.....

Hi Rich. I found you on this board also.  I am so glad you are home and doing well! It was nice visiting with you.  I like your post here. So well said! !!!!! I think we all feel that way about the people here, and for me the people on the barix boards also.
I look forward to following your progress and I will keep in touch.
Michele

Hi Rich,
Sorry this is so late - but better late than never.  I am glad to see that you are home and doing well. Keep coming to support - the next few weeks are the hardest in some ways. You know that we are all here for you. Sorry that I could not see u at Barix - the nurses said that you had just gone to sleep and not to bother you. See at the next meeting.
