ONE month post-op
Yesterday was 1 month post op for me. I can tell you A LOT has changed in 1 month time! I am adjusting to the way I have to eat (slow and chew chew chew), with 3 kiddos we are always on the go, so it's hard most of the time, but I will master this in no time. I have lost 27.6 pounds since my liquid diet a week before surgery. Weeks 2 and 3 were really hard for me because there was no weight loss going on, but now for the last 10 days I have lost a pound a day. I know it will stop soon, but I am so proud of myself for doing so well the past few weeks. I get all my protein in every day (60+ grams), the liquid is so hard to get in, some days are really bad and I just don't even come close, so I have to work on that. I can't wait to see what the next month has in store for me :)
Karen,
You are early on this journey of a lifetime and what I can say is that you will find the way to make it work, you must find a way to make it work for your health and well being, but you will find it so worthwhile, most especially when you see the freedom that comes from being thinner and healthier!
Just want to tell you one last thing, sometimes the scale is not your best friend, so bear that in mind and get your tape measure out and do take measurements once a month (I did mine on the anniversary of my surgery), as many times that will help you see that you are losing inches and the scale has just not caught up yet. Also, if you haven't begun to, take pictures once a month too, all these tools help you see what the scale does not always tell. You might even consider putting your scale away altogether and if you are so in need of a fix, just pick one day a week to get on it. . .
Best wishes for your continued journey!
Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen
