American Red Cross 5k Walk/Run - do we want to form a group?
Hey everyone,
The American Red Cross is having their annual 5k (3.13 mile) walk/run on Saturday April 18th, 2009 in Fairmont Park, Philadelphia. You can even bring your pet and they have an award for the "top dog"!!! Personally, I'd like to do this 5K walk/run.
*IF* I formed a Team (team name TBD - perhaps we'll have a quick contest) about how many people would be interested in joining? Would you be willing to cough up *some* cash to cover the costs of making team t-shirts?
Here are some details:

Let me know what you think via posting here, if you don't mind.

I'd definately be interested - the only thing would be my work schedule - I'd have to "count" weekends to figure out if that is when I am supposed to work....I'll get back to you on that part of it. Assuming I'm not working, i'd love to be a part of it.
I don't think I'd be running it....I started training early last year for a 5k walk/run and hated every minute of jogging I did so I didn't stick with it. I was, however, the first walker to cross the line from our "group" that went.

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses. ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/thumbsup2.gif)
