Hey everyone! I came home yesterday from my lap rny Monday. I feel ok, pretty exhausted and head hunger, but getting my fluids in and walking!! Not too much pain, except this one area a little to the right of my belly button. It burns when I move the wrong way but it's not an incision. I'm hoping it's not a hernia.
Other than that, I'm feeling great! No complications.

Let me be the first to welcome you to the loser's bench. I also had pain on the side but that is where the largest incision is made in lap rny procedures. My pain also was not around the incision site but exactly in the area you are describing. Keep up the good work on walking and sipping your fluids as for the head hunger you will get over that quickly trust me. Try getting all your protein in you will see how hard that is this early out but my advise is to keep walking and sipping as much water as you can. Take good care of yourself and if you need anything please feel free to PM me.

Welcome home welcome home!!  Whoo hoo!!!  Like everyone else has said - keep sipping and walking walking and sipping!

I had a similar pain - but it was to the left of my bellybutton.  Even though there was no incision RIGHT there...it was where the instruments went the deepest from a different incision!

Let us know if you need anything!!

Congrats and Welcome to the Loser's Bench!  It will get better in time.  So just do what you need to and don't be afraid to take any of the pain meds that were given to you, if need be.

Best wishes, Laureen
