No more Dr. Steve!

First off, I want to thank my Facebook Friends for their concern.

As you all know, I've been very bad lately, and it's not just confined to the RNY.

I also have a seizure disorder, and Dr. Steve decided I didn't need to take my meds anymore. I had a seizure on Saturday night, and decided that I needed to go back on the meds.  I called CVS and was going to get them. But I had another.....

I was disoriented, and walking around the parking lot where we were shopping without my shirt on. The police were summoned for a "drunken disorderly". After it was determined I was not drunk, I was taken to the hospital (Virtua Hospital in Vorhees, NJ).  I was in my car (parked and off) waiitng for my wife to shop when it happened. My son was going to get out of the car, and into the parking lot to chase me, but luckily my 6 year old told him not to, and he listened. This bad situation could have gotten worse.

I went back on meds, but they gave me a CT Scan, and I have a calcification on my frontal lobe (of my brain) and it's bleeding. I was released late last night, and they want me to go to Jefferson Hospital, to see a Neuro-surgeon to determine if it needs to come out..

I will not self (un) Medicate myself again, but I wanted to share my situation.

I am back to work, but have to follow up with the neuro-surgeon this week....if they ever call me back.....

I saw someone comment on FB that you were home from the hospital - actually I think it was you but hadn't seen anything on here so I didn't know what was going on. My goodness man, that is one scary situation! Yes, no more self-diagnosis for you, or any of us for that matter.

I'm happy to hear you're home and feeling better but please be careful with yourself and those meds - and I hope the surgeon contacts you soon and gets you in there to get this under control.

Take care...Kathy

Hi Steve,
Very glad to hear that it turned out well, and please as you say, no more self-diagnosing without the experts. I want your journey to always improve but  let's not pu**** before it's time. Take good care of yourself and your family. They know how to take care of you, even your little ones.
Take care, be good, do your best,

Dennis

Steve,

Yes - you know how I feel about *not* taking your multivitamins.....you can imaging my comments regarding *real* medications.

Let's count our blessings over this incident and develop the routine where taking the multivitamin *and* perscribed medications is as natural as getting dressed in the morning.  Talk to the doctor (obviously) about the extra calcium in your system and the 'calcification' - I wonder if they are linked.  Please report back.

We're here for you!!  It's not that you've fallen but picking yourself up and learning how to avoid tripping over the same rock :).  I'm/we're here to help you tie your shoes but only you can do the walking :)

....now....about your exercise routine......

:)

I love that saying....and may be quoting it at some point.  Very very VERY well said.

Calcification on the frontal lobe.....DAMN boy, that explains your hard-headedness at least.  Hope that gets proper attention pronto before you end up listed as a sex offender for streaking.    So, so glad you've got a couple of smart kids there.   Make sure you tell them so.   You would be devastated had anything happened to them.  Daddy need to take better care of himself me thinks.
