Way OT! But I am so relieved!

So my situation may seem confusing. I never really explained it. Never felt the need to. But.......

My hubby and I seperated over 3 years ago. I had moved out. He kept the house, we have agreeable arrangements with the kids, etc. But it has been over 3 years and we are still MARRIED. UGH..............

I met my wonderful Johnny 2 years ago and we have been together ever since. The "hubby" has moved on and is actually engaged to someone. It's just been a back and forth about filing for divorce, the cost, who is gonna pay......etc.

I feel like we are divorced, but technically......I have a husband and a boyfriend.........YIKES!

So today, I bit the bullet, spent an "ungodly" amount of money on a lawyer and the papers are filed. I will oficially be divorced in approx 90 days. I am so glad I got this over with. I wish I would have sooner. I am so glad this chapter will be closed and I can officially move on. Not that I will ever marry again, but staying married to someone I haven't even lived in the same home with for over 3 years is ridiculous..........LOL

So just kinda venting and sharing in my wierd news that has put me in a good mood today.......LOL

So is this your first baby with Johnny or is Riley his too?  You both must be so excited!

Riley is ours. My 2 oldest sons are from my marriage. I sound like a Jerry Springer show. It doesn't sound wierd to me until I have to explain it.........LOL

Welcome to my world!! Was married for 8 years, Seperated for over 4 of them. Been divorced from mine over a year now!!! It been a pain in the tush!!! My older is from my first marriage, Lola is ours( Kelley and I).

Its what happens sometimes. But im glad i have Kelley. He is a wonderful man. Ony different between you and I. IS I'm getting married again!!

Congrats!  You can now move on and close that chapter of your life.  One less issue to deal with is the way I would look at it.  I am sure you are relieved! 

Hang in there, we have all had goofy issues of some kind in our life.

It takes a long time for us to close some doors completely for whatever reason....some reasons you may not even know for the longest time or ever yourself.

Glad you feel relieved by the situation and that you are moving on "freely" now!

no no no no - good to get it out.  Good for you.  The toughest thing about "issues" is to face them head on and do something about them.  Like our decision to go through with our procedures it was a tough decision to make but ultimately we're glad it was done.  We look back on the procrastination and wonder "why" and hopefully smile and get a little chuckle.

I wish the same for you in this situation.  In the years to come, hopefully you'll look back on the "timeline" and chuckle about it.

The funny thing is, I stopped by the ex's house after work yesterday to let him know to expect the papers by next week. Hell..... me, him and his girlfriend were all doing a happy dance in the kitchen. LOL. Now that it's filed and paid for (ugh) ............it's so nice. Plus, his new girlfirend insisted he pay for half of the lawyer bill....................so yeah for me! LOL
