As always.........check with your doc. But my opinion is gas. That's a common symptom. And whether you want to hear it or not.............there will be alot of gas in your future! Lots............LOL

It's probably extra carbon dioxide that remains in you following the procedure...... it usually presents as shoulder pain. But check with doc because this is usually gone within a few days post surgery.

Good luck!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

I had that after my c-section... what helped was when I took a steaming hot shower my hubby or mom rubbed them down hard and it seemed to help break up that feeling... also a heating pad helped some too... gas-x didn't help me much hehehe...

Maalox mint works and of course, walking, walking, walking will help move gas through.   I'm assuming your protein drink is low sugar; if it continues it may be lactose intolerance from milk sugar causing gas which can happen after surgery in which case you'd just switch to water instead of milk in your shakes.  Your pouch is located just under your left breast and it is possible that what you are feeling is the "new arrangement soreness" (can feel like a knife going through to the blade in the back).  Always good to check with your doc though.

You will feel changes in your neck, back and shoulders the first couple months as the first 30 or so lbs. come off.  Try lowering your pillows as this happens and that will help.   As your knees get bony you may need to sleep w/a pillow between them or to help with hip soreness until your body redistributes or tones up better from exercise.   Lots of things will wake back up as the weight comes off.  Don't hesitate to ask your questions....
