Culling my closet

I just came back from my surgeon's office (I go there to get my "official" weight) and I am now 1.2lbs away from losing 100lbs since my highest weight of 430 and I am 84.2lbs down from surgery!! And my 3 month anniversary is tomorrow!!!!

I am just so grateful....I am happy to say that my BMI is now 49.1 down from 63.3....so I went from "Super Obese" to a more slender ""Extremely Obese!" hahaha WHATEVER!!! I just know I feel better and I have a more positive outlook on my future. Just yesterday I went to Wal-Mart and bought myself NEW underwear...it is the little things that make my day, now if I only had a couple pairs of pants that fit me...in time.

I am going to go through everything in my closet and drawers this week and if anyone in the South Jersey/Philly area is interested I would be thrilled to pass along some of the things I can't wear anymore. Most of the stuff is size 3x (30/32) but a few things must be bigger as I know I was bigger than 30/32 in August.  I also am sure I was clothed during that month...although things were starting to fit like sasuage casings. hahaha

I also have a lot of clothing from a friend, who had the RnY, and she had a lot of "business" type clothes. I am more of a sweats and casual type clothing person...cotton as aposed to Rayon and Poly! Just drop me a note and I would be happy to share what I have....otherwise it is just going to go to Goodwill or the Purple Heart. I am willing to drive 60 minutes from my house which is anywhere from Newark, DE to Trenton, NJ and from Atlantic City, NJ out to Coatsville or Perkasie.

Congratulations on having so much wonderful success so far!! I know you must be feeling so much better - and the wonderful thing is it just keeps coming off. I was in those sizes when I started my journey - Goodwill benefitted most since most of the people I had contact with weren't that big, but it never hurts to ask.

But congratulations again on your wonderful success so far! Keep us posted - its a great journey!

Eileen, I am in desperate need of clothing!  I wear 3X/4X and 28/30 pants.  I will gladly pay for you to ship them to Syracuse, NY!  :-)

Hey Renee - I have no problem mailing some of the clothes if you want to pay the shipping. I have two women that live fairly close to me that I have promised some stuff to already so let me get with them and then I will get back to you.

It is funny our surgeries are a day apart....and yes out stats are very similar...but how tall are you?

By all means give away what you can there first.  :-)

Great I'm 5'9 and the two girls are much shorter...so my pants are yours...but if we are on the same track how are you still in size 30 pants?

I am in a 28/30 and I do weigh 15 pounds more than you and I carry ALL my weight in my pedonka donk!  :-)

Humm if you are willing to drive to Perkasie to donate clothes you should come a bit further to Easton and join us for the cooking class / support group this weekend! (see my post from friday!)

Liz thank you so much for the invite but I have to work this weekend (I work for a hospital and work every other weekend)....but it definately sounds like something I would love to do another time.

I am so proud of you!!! I am now down 80 lbs as of today!!! Your doing great I know what you mean about the underware!! Mine keep falling down and only my pants hold them up!!  LOL. I need to be Walmart bound!!! Take care, your doing fantastic!! Keep up the good work!!
