my kid has mad skills... argh
ok, Lore has been under the weather since Friday... seemed like allergies/cold... so gave her allergy meds and let it run its course... because there isn't much you can do when they are only 2.5 years old... well yesterday she woke up from her nap in a horrible mood... whinie, crying, being just a brat in general...
As the night went on... a low grade fever popped up... and then lots of crying... she said her throat hurt, and then she started to pull on her right ear... now with all the ear infections in the past... she never did that... ever... but I wasn't worried... she had tubes put in a month ago...
Well She woke up an hour after she went to bed... she puked snot up... great... more wash to do lol... but she was scared to go to bed after that... so she was up for another 3 hours... finally got her to go to bed around 12:30 with me by saying we were going to have a slumber party in mommy's bed... that got her excited and she went up with me... btw... she has no idea what a slumber party is lol... but she slept horribly... she cried all night long in her sleep plus lots of coughing...
I decided that was it... her peds has sunday hours... costs more but I knew that something really wasn't right... get in she had lost a pound, had a higher fever, and get this... she has an ear infection... WHAT... her tubes got blocked by something... so I am frustrated needless to say lol... so the doc said to come back in a few weeks to make sure they are unblocked... so we are back on ear drops, antibotics and when I can get her to eat (because she really hasn't eaten since Friday) yogurt to help stop the yeast infections and the runs...
so yeah only my kid can get an ear infection a month after having tube surgery lol... so glad I spent all that money on those ENT visits (just got the bill yesterday for the surgery itself lol)...
So, please hold good thoughts for her... and lots of prayers... because she is sooo sad looking right now... off to make her fave soup to see if I can get her to eat something today...

Not the "mad skills" I was expecting to see............geesh!
Hope she is feeling better very soon. And hopefully things will work out and the tubes will be just fine. We always hope that a procedure will "fix" what is wrong. And I surely hope this doesn't continue. Good luck with the sick little one. I know from experience that it's no picnic having a sick little one you can't give any meds to.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!
oh well here is an escape story... at 3m old we found her completely naked in her crib... she had on a zipped up night sleeper that even buttoned at the top... out of that... and her diaper... completely naked... laying in a pool of pee... happy as can be... crazy nut! And I have a million other stories like that lol... that child loves to be naked...
Sorry she's having such a tough time!!! She sure does have LOTS of mad skills tho. LOL. You must be exhausted to this morning. Thoughts and prayers coming your way. By the way, how did the car thing work out?
regards, keri
