Tanya, you one brave woman for not only the surgery, your dedication to your life style, your new life, and putting your story out there.  Please don't let morons like the first responder to your article make you believe any differently.

To be honest Pam I totally expected it. I didnt see it till this morning. But Im ok with it. I had ALOT of people come up and talk to me when i was out and about. It was kinda weird but it was so worth it. Even if today at our meeting we get one new attendee I would be happy and proud of what I did.

I did this so that people know that you can do it. You can get help, you can improve your quality of life and you have to be damn strong to do it!!

There are ignorant people all around us, unfortunately.  I was listening to a conversation between 2 co-workers a few weeks ago.  One of them is overweight and currently doing Weigh****chers, and she said "you have to be really lazy to let yourself get to the point where you need surgery."   She also said "I have a certain number, and when I start getting close to that, I do something about it."  I should have asked her if her yo-yo dieting is better than surgery, but I was speechless.

Now for my comment and we all know how I love to make them.  Like our favorite person Dennis will say: they that don't know have no clue.  I did what I felt was right for me and I don't give a **** what anyone else has to say about it.  I didn't do anything to hurt anyone else so I am not going to waste my precious time defending my choices to anyone.

Lions and Tigers????   My favorite animal is a Liger : It's pretty much my favorite animal. It's like a lion and a tiger mixed... bred for its skills in magic
