OMG OMG OMG I Want to drive to Reading just to give you ahug!! YOu needed some good news in the midst of all the bad!

AS far as the 2000 calories go I was told when that time comes, god willing, by Dr Brader and his nutritionist that I could start eating full fat things as long as I could tolerate them, cheeses yogurts etc. They also said to try and add in another meal'/snack if I Could.

*happy dancing*

There is also a post op pregnancy board on here and the ladies are fantastic! I have been posting over there now because you may or may not know but Chris and I are trying to get pregnant as well.

*hugs* again!

Call me if you need to talk

Liz

PS - really hope you can make it next weekend! Nicole and Jason come up from Lancaster - not sure if they are going straight home afterwards but worth a try!

Well I have bumped myself up to 1% milk, 1/3 fat cream cheese... never really bought much low fat cheese... it has always been pretty much full fat on that... but even with those changes I have been having a hard time lol... the only way I think I can get close it add more things like chips lol... and I really don't want to do that... umm but they are sooo good lol...

LOL I think that chips are perfectly acceptable if the baby wants them!

I am sure that as time goes on you'll be able to eat more. Dr BRader and Kristin (The nutritionist) told me that I would only need to eat about 300 extra calories late in my pregnancy (Which we hope happens soon - can you send over some of the baby ju ju? lol) and they said that I should gain 10-25 pounds. I am 2 years out, 135 down with about 20something to go.

And well - there are always chips - and cookies!

Liz

PS - I got the almond butter - if you want to send me your address I'll ship it down if you don't think that you can make it saturday - that or I am holding it hostage until you do! HA! :)

lol... I did have a craving for them and turkey sandwiches with bacon... now it is just ice cream... lol... actually... potato skins sound awesome... thank goodness I know how to make that healthy now lol...

a normal person only needs 300 more calories when pregnant... but from what I have read for us... we need 500 or more depending how fast our bodies burn stuff off... when I got stuck on steriods for the asthma a few weeks ago... I lost 2 pounds... so this baby is a fat burning machine lol... jeremy even said I looks thinner in certain spots...

and since I am still considered overweight... they don't want me to gain weight... esp. since I had GD with Lorelei... and I sooooo don't want that again... esp. since I can't have sugar because I was on insulin before... hard to get sugar lvls up if they drop without sugar lol...

Shannon thats wonderful and go down to Liz's and give her whatever water you're drinking maybe it will rub off.  BTW anyone who tells you that they don't have money problems is full of poo poo. Sinus infections no fun I had to get rid of mine before my doctor would do my shoulder surgery on thursday. If I ever worked for an insurance company I would give everyone whatever they wanted to make up for all the bad things that insurance companies do that tick us off. Good luck with your pregnancy and new wheels. Congrads!
