Bones I never knew I had.

One of the weird things happening with my weightloss is finding things I haven't felt in years or finding things I never knew I had.

I now have ribs I can feel.  I can feel my collar bone.  I found that I had a sternum.  My latest discovery came at work last night as I was in the ladies room.  I have a boney butt and the toliet seat is not as comfortable as it used to be....snort.  

What have you found from weightloss?

This might sound strange but veins in my hands! I happened to look down at my right hand one day and noticed I can see the vein that runs along the inside of my hand and then above my thumb - then I started noticing that I can see other veins my hand area as well. I guess my hands were always so fat and pudgy that I could never see anything like that!

Ah collarbones - aren't they something?! And shoulder bones - I touch them a lot too because I'm just not used to them. Yeah, lots of new discoveries on our bodies as our journey continues - amazing what a lot of 'fluff' can hide!

Maybe its time to run out and buy one of those padded toilet seats!! And one with heat wouldn't be bad either - LOL!!!

My fluff has been hiding ALOT!   I'm also noticing the skin.  It's getting all puckered on my belly and arms.  I'm wondering how much is going to stay this way and will any of it disapear.  I'm using lotion constantly but I think its a lost battle LOL.

Sadly I have a lot of extra skin myself - arms and upper thighs are THE worst. Oh, and my butt fell about 2 feet! I swear I can feel my cheeks on the backs of my legs! Talked to Dr Boe about it yesterday and we started documenting some issues I'm having with the thigh area so when the time comes maybe insurance will cover reconstructive surgery.

And my poor boobs? Well, its a long sad story (or sight) now!! Maybe if they slit the top of my head open and just pull everything up it'll all go back in place??

LOL OMG!  I so know where you are coming from.  My boobs look like two waterballoons hanging in a tube sock.......sigh.

I am noticing bones I forgot I had too.  My legs and arms are really looking smaller.  As for my hubby since he has lost over 50lbs since our surgery on 12/22 he tells me all the time " getting skinny sex is the best"

If your hubby saw my naked body and what losing weight has done to it..... he would NOT say getting skinny sex is the best.  He'd run for the hills! snort

I discovered my bony butt too - in a weird way.  I was kneeling on the floor, with my thighs touching my calves if you know what I mean....like how they told you NOT to kneel in catholic school....so anyway....something "hard" was inbetween my butt and my heels.  So I lifted my butt up and kind of felt around thinking a cat toy or something had been there.  Nothing.  Kneeled back down....repeated this cycle about 3 times...until I realized...it was my HEEL****ting my butt bone!

I love my collar bone and shoulder bones.  Feeling them was great - seeing them is just amazing even now!

Hubby pokes me in the rib cage all the time and says "bony" which I'm not overly fond of...but whatever.

And I'd LOVE to have water balloons in tube socks!  I have golf balls in tube socks!  And I used to be a DDD.  Although today I feel pretty good about them cause I got on my "very sexy push up bra" on from VS and a tank top on...so the girls look FABULOUS.  Brian asked "Where you going that you need your booby shirt on?  So you KNOW they look good.

And as far as the veins thing go...I've never had veins...anywhere....I've had IVs started in my neck of all places because my veins were such crap and hidden.  Now I have veins EVERYWHERE.  Granted...most times they only come out when I'm hot (like in the shower) and when I'm cold they retreat somewhere where no human can find them...but dammit, at least I know it's there!  The last time I had blood work done, I actually kept those hand warmer things in my pocket and spent about 20 minutes in the bathroom there running my hands under ho****er.  They found em!

My favorite bones I found are my hip bones. I never knew they were there. They were hidden away my whole life and it makes me happy to know they are there.

And I too, have  unfortunately found "armpit" tits after WLS. Ya know, when you lay down, they fall toward your armpits? So lovely! But as HG metioned once about getting some "treasures in the chest"..............I hope to do that! LOL
