First I want to thank all of your who wished me a Happy First Surgiversary!! It means the world to me to be in such a caring group of people.

Second, there is no way I could have made it through this year without all of you out here on the boards - I have never met a closer, friendlier bunch of 'strangers' in my life, and with your encouragement through the tough times and your support and love through the good ones you have really made this a fabulous year for me.

Dr. Boe was very pleased with my progress and my bloodwork was fantastic again!! Everything right where it should be including my B12. I'm feeling great - hair is growing back really good now (looks like I have a ton of split ends but its the new stuff coming in!), and I feel better than I have in 30 years.

I am 33 lbs away from my goal and Dr Boe says it is entirely attainable, so now is the time to pump up the exercise and get my arse moving so I can get the rest of this 'fluff' off my body.

So thank you all so much for being in my world and for helping this make one of the best years of my life!!

Kathy

I am so proud of you!   I hope I can mirror your footsteps through my first year journey.

I am so happy I stumbled upon this board.  I do believe I wouldnt be as successful with my journey without it.  I feel so close to all of you and I'm honored to be considered your friend.

I pray that one day I get the chance to meet all of you!

Congratulations on your Surgiversary!!! Don't worry you will reach goal before you know it!  I had a 6 weeks appt with Dr. Boe.  Isn't he the sweetest and inspiring.

What a great post, Kathy!! 33 pounds from goal - OMG how awesome is that??  Keep up the great work!

And this board is lucky to have you, as well.  You are a constant source of support and inspiration for everyone else as well!!

Hi Kathy!

I am quite a few days behind in posts and I am trying to catch up, but today I came on specifically to wish you a VERY HAPPY 1st SURGIVERSARY!!!  I remember this day a year ago so well...it is absolutely incredible how far you have come from when Jan and I met you in your room at Barix.  You have done an amazing job and I know you will continue to do so.  I feel so lucky to have gotten to know you this past year and I only wish we lived closer.  I hope you are having a wonderful day today and I wish you only the best today and always!  Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us and for being such an inspiration to so many people.  I am so very proud of you Kathy!!!

Lisa :)
