6 weeks Check-Up

I went to my 6 week check up today.  I've lost 35lbs. and feeling great. I'm not taking in all the protein I'm  suppose to and my hair is already starting to shed.  I have to get on the ball with the protein. I feel great.

YAY! Gotta work on that protein though - it is getting pretty darn important at 6 weeks out - what are you eating maybe we can help you find creative ways to get it in...

Here are some basic ideas:
cottage cheese
ricotta
greek yogurt
eggs

I bet I passed or missed you at Barix because I was there for my one year follow up today with Dr Boe. You're still early out - you'll get those proteins in eventually, but try to get in as much as you can right now. The hair will come back - it sucks that we lose it, but it really just thins and is more noticable to ourselves than others.

You're doing great so far - keep up the good work - keep the fluids up and walking - the proteins will come.

Congrats!  You are doing great so far and I am sure you will continue to do so.  I'm 3 months post surgery and started to take Biotin 5000 mcg a month ago to curb the hair loss.  It seems to be working for me.  I really havent shead much hair and I'm noticing my hair has a different texture and its growing.  I think its from the Biotin.

Keep up the good work and try to get in those protiens.  There are alot of food choices to give it to you.  Beans, Yogurt, Milk, Cheese, Peanutbutter, Nuts, Meats.... and so on.  My dr told me to snack on a slim jim.  Its low fat and full of protien.  I have to eat the mild ones cause the regular one is too spicey for my tummy.
