What have you done today to make you feel proud??
Hi Everyone,
I have been soooooooooooo lost without you guys, but have managed to get on the computer a little bit and try to catch up with everybody's posts. Soon I should have my computer fixed and then I will be with all my peeps again!!
This post was something I did a few months back...inspired by the theme song for the Biggest Loser. So today I did something that made me feel proud and I wanted to share.
I finally went back to the gym after what feels like forever....well, kinda it was. I would say probably 10 or so months!!! For a while I was sick leading into the summer months. And then once I felt better I just didn't get back to the gym. I know I don't need to go to lose any more weight...I'm going now to make sure I'm heart healthy.
So I took one of my SILs with me who has been also wanting to get back to working out, and we spent a half hour on the Eliptical machine and then we did a half hour on the bike. Chrissy then did a few of the strengthening machines. I was elated that I could stay on the Elipitcal for that long, after not having worked out for almost a year. I'm embarassed to say that it was almost that long since I have worked out, but I'm turning over a new leaf and going to make the promise to stick with it. I felt good about my workout and just felt good in general. So I'm proud of myself today!!
Thanks for listening. So what have you done today to make you feel proud???

Well today was a day of first for me!!
I had my pictures taken for an article that the local paper is doing. Its about the support group that I helped to form in orwigsburg/deer lake area!! I also met with the reporter that writing the story and it will be in this Fridays paper!! Pretty weird sitting down with someone and telling my story but im hoping it is a positive thing!! there are so many people who want to or have had the surgery in the area but no real local support. I hope it gets the word out for the group!! I also hope it shows people that you can make changes in your life and you can be successful if you try your best and never stop working hard towards your goals.
Now ill just be on pins and needles till then!!

Good for you Karen!!
What did I do today that made me proud - at lunch today I ran on the treadmill at 5.2MPH (11:32sec mile) for about 25 minutes with a 1.5% incline (5 minutes of walking @ 3.5MPH before hand, and a 5 minute cooldown @3MPH-->2.5MPH after the fact). That is the fastest I've *ever* run for an extended period of time.

What did I do that made me proud? I didn't kill anyone...oh, right, I was not at work on Monday. Just kidding. I cleaned my apartment and got rid of a ton of garbage. That always makes me feel good, especially when I feel cruddy, like I have for months.
Sorry it could not be more exciting. I go back to work on Tuesday, so I will let you know how I do on Tuesdya.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

What did I do to make myself proud? Hmmm. Well this sounds stupid in a way...but I did not go have a smoke on my break at work today. We're not supposed to, anyway, but generally I have been having one on my half an hour break. It's part of the process to once again quit. I've done it before and I'll do it this time - and it'll be for good. It's a plan.
