pre-op THANK YOU!
So I got a PM today from one of you.. you know who you are and I have come to realize that even though I have not had the actual surgery yet, I have already gained so much confidence in myself.
It has helped me to move forward with other issues in my life, as well as the surgery stuff.
I honestly believe that it is a HUGE part because of you guys on here. I came here for information and support and gained SO MUCH MORE... I can't thank all of you guys enough for everything you've already done for me and for what I know I will gain in the future as I go through the steps post-op.
Geez, I'm getting emotional already and I haven't even been cut yet..![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/lovestruck.gif)

I can't imagine my life without these people. Everyone is so wonderful.
And emotional...well hang on for the ride of your life. If you haven't read it here before...estrogen is stored in fat...so in the early process not only are you losing fat like crazy - but that releases TONS of estrogen and talk about mood swings, OMG, it can be frustrating at times!! Plus the stress of the surgery on your body....emotional is putting it lightly.
Hang on for a wild ride girlfriend - you will do GREAT!

Lisa,
This board, and the people who populate it, is one of the best there is. I, like you, began my journey here as a pre-op and when my actual surgery day came I was absolutely as ready as one can be to be fully engaged in this process, which has become known as "successing" within our support group and is very progressive. Truly you are in for the ride of a lifetime, not without bumps, but that's where this wonderful support system comes in handy, someone has been there and can help you with their insight and knowledge, for some, this support makes all the difference, and for me, personally, I cannot imagine my life without the people this journey has brought into my life!
Best wishes and hugs, there's a spot on this Loser's Bench with your name on it!

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen
