Anyone hear how Kim made out today?!!?
The surgery went ok. I got there at 715 and they started me at 815. They woke me back up a little after - so I was on the table a little more than an hour and 45 minutes. I was only in recovery about 20 minutes then came on home.
Moderate Discomfort - WOW - it hurts like hell!!! I am taking the heavy duty drugs every 4 hours. Its now 5 and I just got off the phone with the surgical unit. Since coming home I have had 130 oz of water - but cant seem to pee one drop.
I am passing gas (and ohhh la la) dose that hurt! I am hoping to pee something in the next hour or so - if not then will head back up to the hospital. My older kids are watchinong me and listening to me moan..lol. The younger boys are help - but Frankie has the fly and its Sam's birthday (I cant with a clear conscience ask them for help). I will let you guys know later tonight how things are.
Thanks Liz for checking in.

It's good to know you're home and things went well. I actually had to get two IV's after surgery pushed through my line because I wasn't "producing any urine." Whatever. But you had better pee soon!!!! And if it hurts to fart - STOP! LOL. As if post-op that's possible. Please keep us updating and prayers and thoughts for you to pee a river soon.

Listen - with the heavy meds you are taking - if you haven't started taking a stool softener yet - you might want to consider it. Those things can constipate you pretty badly.

Glad to hear you are on the mend and have your bodily functions working properly, maybe the BM will be held up a day or so due to the very good drugs you are taking. . . In the meantime, I hope you are doing ok today.
Gentle hugs and positive healing vibes, Laureen
