They didn't publish a deadline - sounds like something that will be ongoing for quite a while. I do have the name of the company at home I will post it tonight when I get home - they are doing a wonderful thing!

You should see me, I stopped in the parking lot and picked up bottles on the ground.  LOL.  Just so I could take the lids.  And I am pulling all my prescription lids off.  AND shampoo lids.  YAYYYY!!!!

Good ideas with the shampoo and perscriptions! Vitamin bottle lids probably count to and Lord knows we use enough of those!

I work for a law firm in NY and we have a classified board in the office, I am posting and will bring whatever I get between now and the support group meeting and hope that it helps.

I'm trying to work out the 28th, but my son is returning for good from Germany on that day, as well as a friend of mine having a dinner at her home in celebration of a special day for her, so while I'd love to come, not sure I will be able to make it, either way I will get the tops to you via someone who may be going and please PM me with what I owe you for the supplied I requested, you can give them to Dennis to bring back for me for the 1st Saturday meeting in March, if I don't make it to the cooking support group.

Dennis and Beth volunteered to collect for me at the pre-op and post-op meetings and Shauna will be gathering at 1st Saturday's so you can pass them on to any of them!

I'll add it up tonight and PM you, I'll give it all to Dennis on the 28th if you can't make it. Sounds like a lot going on! Glad your son will be home for good though!

Uh....before you make a room into a nursery - you might need to use it as a lid storage room!

I sent an email to the director of LVH er (we can't do ANYTHING without letting someone know first and getting permission) to see if I can start collecting tonight.

I also emailed all my jersey friends and family.  Lord knows I'm there enough - and some of them work at the hospital that I work at THERE....so they might be able to put up a collection bin for me and I can pick them up when I work there.

If you want - give me the name and the address of the donation site - I would be happy to make trips there as well so that your house/car/life isn't over run by bottle caps!

I finished off a container of ricotta cheese and bread crumbs in the past day - and those are my first two lids!  I also drink a minimum of 2 bottled waters a night at work - so those will go into my collection as well.

LOL!! Thanks Pam!! I'l stash them in the garage - I am sure that we are going to get lots! I am going to scan in the article tonight and post it so anyone who needs it as verfication for a job etc, or you just want to read it - I'll have it here tomorrow!

I don't mind dropping them off - I actually drive right by everynight on my way home from work! But thanks :)

This is great Liz.  I mentioned it to the people I work with, we will collect what we can!  I'll find a way to get them to you!  Someone asked if shampoo lids would be OK, I told her I'd ask....so I guess ANY plastic lid of any sorts works right?  Do you have the name of the recycling co, I'm interested to see who it is.....they are doing something soo wonderful!!!
