Calling the best people on earth! I need your plastic lids!

ALright - so I know how fantastic you are at supporting me and everyone else here but I have a favor to ask. THere is a young boy in second grade living in our area that has to receive dialysis 3 times a week. His parents medical insurance doesn't cover it and they are in dire straights. Our local HS Technology club is helping to raise money. A local plastics recycling company has agreed to donate 1 hour of dialysis for every 1000 caps they collect. They are looking for water bottle caps, soda bottle caps, plastic coffee can lids, the plastic lid off of gallons of milk - ANY plastic lid.

If you can stash these lids for me I'll take them over to the donation site with a note that they came from the fantasic PA OH boards!

I hate to see a child suffer and find it deplorable that this poor little guy's parents have to deal with having a sick child AND figuring out how to pay for something that their health insurance should cover! They need to spend their energies taking care of him

I'll meet you somewhere to get them or you can bring them to my support group on 2/28 or any future meetings - maybe someone would be so kind as to collect them at the Barix meetings for me? Dennis? Beth? Susan? Shauna? Or you can mail them to me - I'll gladly pay shipping!

Thanks so much!

hug your kids extra tight tonight and Thank God that they are healthy!

AS long as they are plastic they'll take em! The glass snapple bottles have metal lids but those big pastic ones - yep they'll take those! Also off of juice bottles etc.

Thanks!

Liz,
I am in and I would be more than happy to see if Beth or Dennis can start a donation bin at the Barix Clinic. I will let my old job who uses at least 1000 Desani bottles a week collect them as well. I will hug my kids tightly tonight.

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!

Every lid helps!

Liz

PS I had to hug the kitties - no kids yet but believe me I am thinking about how I would react to something like that...

Thank You -thats how I feel. Adults can "handle" illness but it breaks my heart to see any child sick and missing out on their childhood!

WE are hoping so too -but God has his plan - it'll happen when it is meant to - thanks for the prayers!
