More Surgery for the Kimster.....
Oh Kimmie....I'm sorry you are having the "H" problem. Good luck with the surgery. My brother had that surgery and I know it wasn't pleasant. But you are strong, and have endured a lot in the last couple of years. I have no doubt that you will be just fine. Just be sure to take advantage of all drugs offered to you! Please be sure to let us know how you are doing.
If the "H" you'r tlaking about is a hernia, I can assure you that the surgery isn't THAT bad.
I had hernia surgery and a recurring bowel kink fixed at the same time, and I was back on my feet the evening of my surgery.
My perspective was this: was it more painful? Yes. BUT... the last time I had surgery, I was 425 lbs., and couldn't even move myself around without help. Compared to that, this was a walk in the park.
I have every confidence that you'll do great, but will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Kim,
I wish you well with this surgery and while it may be unpleasant and painful, in the long run it will give you what you need, since you are a goal oriented lady, keep the prize in mind when the pain is at it's worst. And congrats on your plastics surgery date.
Prayers, positive healing thoughts and hugs, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Hey Guys -
Thought I would send a little update (while I can see straight). First - Norm - nope not Hernia - wi**** were that easy...think LOWER - and BEHIND you.
It took him a little over an hour and 45 minutes and Im packed pretty good. In recovery I was like - WOW that was a piece of cake - this doesnt hurt at all. So from the hospital I went straight to Starbucks and then to the pharmacy. 5 minutes at the pharmacy - the first 'WAVE' of pain hit and OMG ...all I can say is ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow !!!
I have been keeping myself looped every since. I'm so looking forward to never ever crapping myself again! It is this thought that is keeping me going through the pain Stella and Nick are keeping a watchful eye on me. Today is also the 1 yr anniversary of Stella's first hip replacement and my youngest - Sam - 12th birthday. It is also my 14 month surgiversary.
So far so - well not good - cuz it hurts - ALOT. I cant seem to urinate at all. I just called and they told me to come up to Doylestown ER and they would put a cathetor (sp) in. I have had 130 oz of water all day and not peed one drop. I will update you guys later on my progress. Thanks for all of the well wishes.
