More Surgery for the Kimster.....

As of today, I have hit the 180 pound mark off.  In 14 months I have lost 180 pounds and 197 inches of body fat.  This whole thing is totally unbelievable to me and even now I still scare myself when I look in the  mirrror because I do not receognize the woman looking back.

For several months I have had some issues with "H" and the massive amount of excess skin on my back side.  It has gotten so bad that I am now 'officially obstructed'.  Tomorrow (Wednesday) I am having surgery at Doylestown Hospital to have the obstruction and the internal "H" removed.  Im scared to death because they tell me its going to be extremely painful...Wish me luck!!

Today I saw Dr. Herman (in East Stroudsburg) and am absolutly thrilled with him.  We went through everything and he has scheduled my first plastic proceedure for Friday 4/03.  The only thing that will move this date is if I end up loosing more than 10 pounds in the next month.   With being down for a month with the "H" surgery tomorrow - I wont be able to lift or workout in the gym like I have been - but then again - who knows what goofy things my body will do.

Anyone who is considering the plastics - my advice is to talk to more than one.  I thought the local plastic surgeon was the right one for me until I took the time to see Dr. Herman - he truly is a better fit for me.  Everyone is different - just shop around.

He did my surgery and he is a very good surgeon. I was not thrilled the PMC but he was awesome. In fact I see him tomorrow for a follow up. I wish you luck with your surgery,  I am sure it sounds more scary then it really will be, But i wish you speedy recovery

I'm sure you will do fine with the surgeries - you are a fighter.

Just a question out of curiosity. What made the choice of those 2 hospitals? Doylestown and Pocono. Do you live in between?

Good luck tomorrow.  You are the 4th or 5th person I have heard about having this type of surgery done over the last few months!  I hope its not too painful!

I am also shopping around for a PS surgeon.  Had  my first consult on Monday and another later today.  The whole standing naked, getting critiqued thing wasn't bad at all....my biggest fear going in was that I was going to get turned away for not being "ready" for plastics.  Hopefully by next week I will know which direction I am going in and have my first round of plastics scheduled.
