OT - what are you doing for your SO for Valentine's Day?

I plan to treat myself to a night out at karaoke... my favorite place to hang out! I'm sure DH will be away for the weekend as per the new "usual" and that is just fine with me.  Then, I won't think about what we are NOT doing since he doesn't do holidays.  I will be so happy when this whole thing is over and we can move on with our lives.  Hopefully my babysitter will think that the money I will pay her is more important than spending time with her boyfriend.   Maybe if I offer her extra, she will be willing to do it.  I really don't want to be home that night. I'd rather hang out with my friends and sing crazy songs!

Hope you all have a great time with your SO, whether it is someone you have been with for a long time or a new love.  Enjoy each other's company and celebrate the love you share.

I always over-do it with holidays. Not just valentines day. And he could care less. Not that he doesn't appreciate the things I do. He just doesn't expect anything. So this year, I am making him his favorite brownies. (which I never do cause those things are the devil in my house!) But they are his favorite.

Johnny is a HUGE Philadelphia Eagles fan, and I found an autographed football card of McNabb for 8 bucks. So I will add that in his card I got him. Other than that, I just plan on our dinner we always have, and trying to look nice, and being extra nice to him that day. Which he will probably appreciate more than anything since I've been so grouchy and moody lately. LOL (ugh pregnancy!)

But I think that just hanging out together, being sweet, and remembering why we are together will be how it is this year. I plan on looking for something else small for him if I can find something that stands out. If not, it's ok.

By the way, that white chocolate sounds scrumptous! My favorite!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Ok....so this is my oh so romantic valentines day present to Brian.  His favorite holiday is Halloween.  For the past two years we haven't celebrated Halloween almost at all because 2 years ago I was one day post op in Barix and he spent all day with me, and this past year (2008) it was the day before our move, so we were packing and what not.

Sooooooo........

Considering the day before V day I have off I promised him ON Friday the 13th we will go see the Jason movie.  I hate scary movies.  Hate them.

He loves them.

And he better love the fact I'm taking him to see that.

On actual Vday...I may surprise him with sugar cookies...his favorite.  And maybe just perhaps I can get him to watch a chick flick with me.

Wow - you are a great wife! LOL I hate scary movies too and would have nightmares - probably why he would want me to watch it so I snuggle during the night when I get scared! lol

Luckily Chris will watch whatever I want - so I'll just make it a special day at home. I know it is going to start with a trip to Home Depot to buy paint to do our bedroom and drywall so he can work on the basement. Somehow I think that I got a "boring old fart" stamp on my forehead! lol

Maybe I'll suck it up and get some lingerie - see what I can wedge myself into! lol BAD mental picture I know - but what man wouldn't like it?! LOL!!!

The first anniversary of our first date is 2/15 and we wanted to go to the restaurant we went to then, but it's closed on Sundays, so we are going there on Valentines Day instead.  Then, on 2/15, weather permitting, we are going walking around Olde City/Society Hill, maybe take a carriage ride, have lunch out...just a sweet old fashion date :-)

Guys like 3 things and it doesn`t matter which order they`re in. They don`t cost much and are readily available.  Beer, boobs and sports.

Rent the DVD Fireproof.
