I HATE rice cakes.
OK I have a huge problem with Quaker Rice Cakes and I need to vent. Why do they have to taste so damn good and why does it go into my stomache so easily? I just ate an entire bag of the chedder mini ones over the coarse of today. Way to go Diane since you're so close to ONEderland. I think I need to stop buying them. NO..... I KNOW I need to stop buying them!
Anyone else with a problem like this?

Rice cakes, crackers, pretzels you name a dry crunchy preferably salty carb and I'm on it like white on rice. And I don't feel full.
Those stupid little things mush down into almost nothing...and then they turn into mush and can slide right through your pouch so you don't feel full (or right through your band in your case)
Yup - my solution is the same as yours and Liz's - don't buy em. I go grocery shopping and swear I just like to torture myself...cause I walk up and down that isle....looking at the crackers and cheez its and pretzels and think about buying just about every variety. I never buy every variety - and most times don't buy any - but there are times!
If you absolutly MUST have something salty/carby/crunchy - look for some good quality soy chips. There are a few good ones out there...although it's been ages since I've had em and don't know the name off hand. At least that way you are getting protein in, and oddly enough, they do fill you up nicely.

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses. ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/thumbsup2.gif)

Yes, I am a rice cake, soy cracker, pretzel, aholic. Join the crowd. I can't buy them or have them where I will find them or they will go down like a junkie shooting drugs. I did find that I am able to control myself if I substitute a full size lightly salted rice cake for a 1/2 of a bagel with f/f cream cheese and smoked salmon. I just have to remind myself that 1 is the LIMIT.
