Does anyone have trouble with nuts?

ALright,.. so I know I am headed for at least one scarcastic comment here... lol

I have been having trouble with nuts lately. I was snacking on trail mix lately. WEll the last few times I have had some it is followed by a crabby pouch and occasionally vomitting. I didn't think to ask Dr Brader about it - I might e-mail Kristin though - just thought I would see what you had to say first.

Thanks!

I have not had problems with nuts, but have with dried fruit. What is in your mix?

I have raisins in it too -but the first time it was just walnuts and tonight it was just salted peanuts - ugh. I feel like I ate a pound of bread and it swelled up in there! luckily it is passing and fluids are helping

THanks :) I meant the nuts that you eat - peanuts, almonds, pecans - all my favorites! I'll send Krisitn - my nutritionist an e-mail tomorrow - too cold to go out and get her card from my purse now!

Thanks!

Opps Liz I am sorry stupid me thought you meant the you know cause thats what we all call them  the nutritionist at the barix. duh. Okay stop laughing it was a blonde moment and I can't blame the horse for. Whoops! I eat cashews only in a small bag but have never tried the trail mixes. Are you sure that there wasn't any kind of candies in them I know some of them have that. Boy did I step in that one!

I'm wondering if it's not the pouch but like a diverticulitis?  There is recent literature stating that nuts don't affect diverticulitis - but those affected with it state otherwise.

I haven't had any problem with nuts what so ever....

Pam I was wondering about something like this but the "un-comfortableness" is high, in my pouch - I was wondering if maybe the nuts aggravated the healed up ulcers? Don't know if that is possible. I am fine with other foods and have always tolerated nuts fine. COuld also just be prissy pouch after having the stomach bug.

Thanks for teh suggestions though!

Peggy - This was one of the first things that came to mind, and I paniced because I am trying to get pregnant and well everything makes me panic now! lol. However it was different kinds of nuts from different bags, pecans, walnuts, peanuts and cashews.

Thanks for the suggestion though!
