***Thursday Roll Call***

Ok...so it is apparantly -4 degrees out at the moment.  It better warm up before 7:10am when I am leaving this joint...cause I might freeze in motion walking to my car.  That is ENTIRELY to cold out regardless of the jackets gloves, hoods and what not I have with me.

First I have to finish my shift today.  I was put as "pod leader" as of 3am which I have never done.  Basically it's like a mini charge nurse who is in charge of one section of our ER.  The thing is...that section is as big as my WHOLE other ER I came from....so it's kind of like being in charge for me...right now it's going fine...and I've got a really great bunch of nurses on with me, so we'll be fine.

When I get home I'm not quite sure what is going on.  We were supposed to go see a friend who is having same day surgery for some "female problems"...but I got an email from her saying "Don't come tomorrow - the mood I"m in I don't want anyone near me" which I must admit kind of stung to hear considering we're very close...but at the same time....I respect her decision.....hubby needs to get his car alignment done....and really that's about it.  I'll probably take the ride w/ him for the tire thing just to give me something to do and stay awake. 

Then it'll be figure out something for dinner and probably going to bed early - off again tonight.

It is 0 outside with a wind chill of -19!  I sure am tierd of this!

The Hearing went well.  I should get some kind of compensation.  Now I need to check into SSI and see what happens.  Anyone have any advice on that?

 I also have to surrender my car.  That's ok I guess.  We have been a one car family before.  So there is good and bad news, huh?

Today is a slew of errands and wash. 

Anyway, I am pretty upbeat.

Well it is mighty cold out there today!!  I love the cold weather but this is a bit toooo frigid!! LOL

Anyways, today has me unpacking more boxes, and trying to put our bedroom in some semblance of order!  The kitchen is in pretty good shape, the living room is okay --still have to hang pics and put out the knick knack stuff.  The Sun room is a disaster area!!  Ha ha!  But that is what I will do today and try to organize everything I can with what is here.

Then I have to catch up on my MBA assignments--I don't want to fall behind too much!  And  I need to mark some tests for my little ones and get some lesson plans done for when I go back on Monday!

But that is my pretty non exciting day!  Hope all is well with everyone else!! Have a fantastic day!!

Good FREEZING Morning all - today would have been a good day to stay snuggled under the covers but alas I am here at work - shivering in my desk chair! I swear as soon as I heat my tea it is cold again!

I am out of work around noon today and making the trek out to see Dr Brader for my 2 year follow up. After that I'll make the long trek home. I am going to stop somewhere near home and pick up something for dinner. I have been in a severe mood to cook so I might need a few ingredients for the weekend too.

Good morning all - this cold weather just doesn't want to let go,does it...and like all of you I am over it! Hubby thought he'd get a chance to sit outside with the dog tomorrow but now its only going up to 34 if that - Saturday and Sunday may be warmer - let's hope its warm enough to melt the stinking snow!

I'm at work - boy, was really tempted to stay snuggled in under the covers but I got up and came in. Had a bad time eating dinner last night - took a few bites and all of a sudden had that terrible 'stuck' feeling so I stopped eating and dumped it down the disposal - thank goodness it didn't last all night like it can sometimes. Still sucks, tho.

Had some sad news yesterday - since I started my journey back in 2007 I've been seeing a nut at a local hospital that I totally adore - she is so sweet and positive and upbeat - we're the same age, both gaga over our little fluffly dogs - just a neat person. I called yesterday to make an appt with her and found out her last day is Feb 11 - that's the day I'm seeing her so maybe I can find out where she's going and if I can continue my visits. We'll see...

So other than work today nothing much else on my agenda. Stay warm everybody!!

Good morning all. I am at work again. Nothing new there. My doc doesn't have patients in offoce on thursdays so I spend my entire day at the one office instead of traveling between two. Happy to spend the day here though. I don't see my boos too much so it will be nice to be here all day and catch up with things.

Tonight, will be heading to walmart. Have to pick up a few odds and ends, including a new Elmo DVD. Poor Riley watches the same one all the time. She loves it but knows all the numbers and colors on that one so I will be looking for an ABC's one to help her with that. She tends to skip letters but tries so hard. But she's not even 2 yet, so I'd say she is doing quite well.

After that, home to eat dinner. Not sure what yet. I am craving chicken on the grill but not sure if Johnny will feel up to cooking on the grill in this weather.........LOL

Good morning all I am glad to check this site it tells me how warm to dress. I have everyone's favorite appointment today. Yep the dentist. Ugh.

Hello and happy Thursday.  I am trying to catch up on the boards, facebook and oh yeah, work.   I took off 1 day and feel like I've been gone a week.  Yesterday I had my pre-op endoscopy.  Everything is fine, no surprises.  I was "under" for all of about 15 minutes and it wiped me out for a good part of the day.   The nurse even told me NOT to go on the computer because I might not remember what I typed,bought, or otherwise did on it.  So, I followed orders and stayed away.  It was hard, let me  tell you.

Today, has me working.  After work, i will make dinner-probably shrimp and popcorn cauliflower with the salad that DH picked up yesterday but none of us ate. I wasn't really in the mood for food and I guess b/c I  wasn't at the table, my daughter didn't think it was necessary to eat anything other than chicken.  Oh well, she'll eat it today.

After dinner is bingo!  I love my Thursday nights out!

I'm still looking for a rental and will try to get out at  some point before bingo to look, but it's hard because my daughter doesn't know what is going on yet so I need to go without her.   I can't keep  taking time out of work to go unless they are close.   So, I'll have  to find a way to look  after  work without her.  I know most of you are not in the Lehigh Valley area, but if anyone  knows of anything in Bethlehem, Parkland S.D., Hellertown or somewhere nearby, I'd appreciate it.  I am looking for at least 2 BR,  preferably 3,, but less than $900.. Is that possible anymore?

The only thing on my agenda for today is heading down to Lancaster for an appointment with the gastroenterologist who is supposed to do the scope for me on Monday. Not trying to be a Debbie Downer but I'm pretty much convinced that this is just going to end up being a complete waste of time just like everything else has been and I'll most likely end up back in the emergency room for the upteenth time sometime between today and Monday! Sorry but I have lost all faith in pretty much the entire medical profession.
