where not to buy a bra

ok, I need a new bra... I was a 38DDD but I am musting out of my current bras (and they are new as of December) but now I am needing a 38G... now for those that don't know... each letter in a DDD means something...
D
DD=E
DDD=F

Pretty easy... right... well at Hanes and Bali at the Philly Premium Outlets... they are idiots... at each place 3 different employees stated to me that a DDD=G... ummm no... try again and learn your alphabet lol... and now it makes a lot of since why women aren't wearing the right bra size... well at Maidenform... that girl was great... but they only carry a DD... but Amber is a 36A... and they carry her size... which another super hard size to find...

And if you are wondering what makes me an expect... I have fitted over 1000 women at Lane Bryant while I was working for them... when they were owned by the Limited you got special perks for doing that many fittings... but now they are owend by Fashion Bug's company Charming something group... there is nothing...

But, it looks like I will have to order my stupid bras online... no one seems to carry them in a store... pout!

So... if you ever make it up for a cooking class will you size me up? lol I have a measuring tape and everything! lol

Good luck finding the bras! I think that i am a 38C but well - I dunno, the last few I bought I hate and well can't find the receipt so I am stuck with them - luckily my Mom is about the same size - I'll see if she can use them

Happy shopping!

you know I can do that... but what I have learned is that it all depends on the cut... hehehe... like molded vs soft cup vs plain under wire... Measuring for a band size is super easy... wrap the tape around and what it says is the band size...

I have learned with myself I look way thinner if I wear a molded bra... but sometime we all can take a field trip to go bra shopping... hehhee...

me too! But I have a hard time finding one that isn't overly padded. I am already a C up (but I swear they feel bigger! lol) and well too much padding makes me look "lumpy" lol well more so then I already am! I must say that I am one of the fortunate that has better boobs now then pre-op! I just have go figure out where to get a good bra. The last one that I got is from Marshalls and I LOVE it... now to find more...

Linda - I would think that you can donate bras I dunno, mine usually get so ratty because I hate shopping for them that I toss them! lol

I went to Boscov's and the lady was a sweetie.  The one in Neshaminy and I wear the Bali no underwire and its comfty. It can be frustrating. I also caught a sale at Macy's now I kinda dread losing anymore boob cause those bras aren't cheap but well worth the money so when I lose more weight and boob here I go again new bras. Oh well the price of beauty. Not to be crude but do we donate them too? I can understand not panties but how about bras?

I will never buy a bra from boscov's... I went there after I had lost about 60 pounds... I couldn't find my cloth measuring tape at home so I asked their bra expert to resize me... she said I was a 46 B... ummm no... I was never 46 around even at 341 pounds... and I have never been a B cup... so they suck lol...

They also don't have anything over a DD... lol...

Shannon,

   I agree with you on the whole bra issue.  It is a huge problem for big and little women alike.  I did find that I'm different sizes with different cuts.  Also, different comanies run a little off.  When I find one I like I buy a couple of them.  Also, you have to wear them for a while before you can really tell if you like it.

Teehee, snarf!  That is the second thing that comes off when I get home.  First is my shoes.  I hate those things.  I have never found one I liked!!!

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.
