Looking for a Penpal

Hi my name is Melissa and I'm from New Minersville, PA.  I looking for a penpal.  I'm going to have WLS in the summer.  So having a friend who will understand my experiences would be great.  Hope to hear from someone soon!

If you stay close to these boards you will have more penpals then you know what to do with!  We talk about EVERYTHING here and are more like a large online family than just a message board.

I haven't had my surgery yet(maybe next month) and I think that this site and these people are awesome. Everyone is helpful and ready to share advice or just a listening ear. You can find all kinds of information, and don't be afraid to ask any question. Keep reading the posts and you will understand what I mean. Best of luck to you on your weight loss journey.

You just got more pen pals than you could ever imagine - this site is incredible for support, inspiration, encouragement and sometimes a quick kick in the butt if needed. And its not all public - if you need private support for whatever reason its available from any of us as well - all you have to do is ask.

Congrats on taking the big step to WLS - its quite a ride so strap in and hang on!!

Hello Melissa! You have definitely come to the right place.  I joined this board about a month ago (I am still pre-op) and have found the best group of people you could ever hope to meet!!! 

Don't get big heads, now, you guys!! LOL!!

These people will pick you up when you are feeling down.. cheer you on when you are doing well, answer any questions you may have or may think you have  and they will even kick you in the butt to set you straight if you need them to!   

A good portion of us on this PA board  post something daily, so come back often.  Even if you just lurk and read other people's  posts, you will learn SO MUCH!
