"wasting away to nothing"
OOOH Good one Linda!!! She's exactly right! You are wasting right into a great new life!
I was talking to someone today about how close my date is and how ready I am to do this and she said you are ready to NOT eat? And I just said that that part is only temporary. The change it makes in me will be so worth the fight to get there!! She agreed with that!

Hi Lisa,
I am pre op too - 2/5...getting the same talk..."you've never been able to stick to a diet; don't you know you'll gain it back in 5 years, you can't eat .etc etc etc"...not listening but it is a distraction and negative talk...thanks for posting, nice to know I am not alone! Good luck with your surgery and pre op !

My current husband has made mention of it before - let alone an ex!
I don't take offense to those comments. It's takes a long time for OUR brains to catch up to our new selves - and it takes friends and family brains time to catch up as well. Probably even a little more so because they can see the changes where as most of the time, we can't. So they are constantly being shown drastic changes and they can't wrap their heads around it.

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
