Holding myself accountable.

Mary,

I hit the same wall, only it started last week and I set out to work out, however, I got to the gym and all those resolutioners were there, the equipment was on a wait to use basis and I just wasn't into waiting 20 minutes or longer to do my workout, excuses is what I made and then I gave myself permission to take the week off.  While I did eat some things I don't normally, when I got on the scale on Monday, I had gained 4 lbs., it was not 4 lbs. worth, so the lesson learned for me, is this way of life has no forgiveness built in and I don't want to climb into bigger sizes, I have yet to achieve my size 8 that I want to be wearing and staying in for the rest of my life. . .

Doctor P told me at my 1 year check up that I needed to do this lifestyle in a sustainable way, I'm now in the process of defining what is sustainable to me, as since I am now working 5 days a week, getting up at 5 a.m., getting home at 7 p.m., leaves little time to do all that I need.  I am in a period of readjustment and all that needs doing is finding what works, but yes, accountability is such a big step and why I am jumping in on your post, otherwise I might totally slip into my old ways.

We can do this, we know what works, it's as the old Nike commerical says, Just Do It!

Hugs, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen
