Back Online
Hey everyone...i have been gone for about 5-6 weeks due to online and laptop issues! But its fixed now. I missed you all!
I am 10 months out and now i have started eating bread and chips and some sweets. I and hoping to get out of this habit and start eating ONLY the proper things. Self control is what i have to work on...and getting to those support meetings like i should.
I am currently in nursing school getting my masters and i work as a nurse at night as well...so when i usually sleep at night im at work tempted to eat a bag of chips or a few cookie! I got to get it together...im so upset with myself!

First of all, welcome back.
Second of all, you need to nip that sh/t in the bud now. Chips and sweets aren't going to get you anywhere. They'll just start nudging you back in the wrong direction. It's good you recognize that now, because I'd hate for you to be one of those people who show up 18-24 months after their surgery, full blown into their old bad habits, gaining like crazy, whining and unwilling to make changes.
Third, are you doing any kind of exercise? You need to be. Maybe you are, but I see no mention of it.
Take apples to work. :)

Hey, Rachel;
First, be kind to yourself; don't call yourself names or get down on yourself.
Second, if you must eat at work, make sure that you take the good dense proteins and other items that you CAN have and then you won't be so tempted to eat what you see.
If bread and chips are a problem for you (and I know how seductive they can be) then just keep them out of your orbit. I went through my cupboards and dumped everything in the white foods and junk department 4 years ago, and still have to fight the urge to buy that crap in the stores.
Don't work too hard, and take care of yourself.

Welcome back!! Norm and Lynn already covered it all. Try not to be upset with yourself, but rather look at it as a bump in the road...a learning experience. Pick yourself up and move on with a new outlook and determination. Believe me, I KNOW how hard it is to stay away from the "bad" stuff. I have stubbled down that road before myself. Take it day by day...hour by hour....and you can do it! Also, what is your exercise like? I find the more I exercise, the better I eat.
