Good Morning all! I am just under 2 years out and here is the plan

B: oatmeal custard (I have to tweak the recipe then I'll post it - very good though!)
S: cheese stick
L: chicken with mushrooms and a few noodles
S: roast beef & cheese roll ups
D: This one is always so hard! lol maybe something with chicken, or scrambled eggs I have to get better at planning this!
S: s/f l/f pudding

E: my Wii fit should be on the porch when I get home so provided I can hook it up myself I'll give it a whirl!

What are you up to today? Hope that you are all doing fairly well sticking to the basics! I have been pretty good. Did have a few french fries yesterday.

Good Morning - I'm just under one year out and here is my 'plan' (and I use that term loosely since it does tend to change thru-out the day).

B:  1/4 english muffin; 2 c 1% milk
S:  Banana w/Simply Jiff PB
L:  Tuna salad on 1/2 WW pita w/lettuce & cheese; sf pudding
S:  Cheesestick and pretzels
D:  Steak; 1/2 baked potato; steamed veggies of some kind
S:  Nuts? Not sure

E:  Bike (hopefully, depending on how I'm feeling)

Last night my dinner plans went out the window - I still have my nephew with me (his furnace is broken at his apt and the landlord has to get someone in to replace it, so he's staying with us). Anyway, I thought he'd be gone and I would have a chicken caesar salad and my hubby would have hot dogs or something, but my nephew ate the rest of the chicken I was saving and I had nothing else out for dinner so we ordered out - I had the insides of a buffalo chicken stromboli. Not the greatest choice, but better than a sandwich.

Liz - french fries are NOT my friend - I ate 4 little crinkle cut ones the other week and had pain so bad I thought I was having a heart attack!! I ended up in bed sicker than a dog - miserable. That's it - never again - there isn't a fry in the world worth going thru that...

I'm 15 months out and been struggling with grazing, so I've decided to try posting here, though somedays my meals are not well planned, but figured I'd give it a try:

B:  Weight Control Oatmeal made w/skim milk
S:  Green Apple w/Peanut butter or Clementine
L:  Calves Liver w/onion (some are thinking gross, but keeps my iron levels up and tasty to me)
S:  Not sure, either one of the ones I didn't choose between B and L
D:  Also, not sure, as I won't be going straight home this evening
S:  Popcorn

E:  Some walking, as tonight is AA meeting night. . .

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

I haven't tried the quinoa yet, but did buy it.  I LOVE kasha / buckwheat...have you tried that yet?  If so, are they similar in taste?

I haven't tried kasha/buckwheat but I read you had kasha casserole and would love to know what that is.  I made quinoa with chopped carrots, green onions and evoo and now I am eating my way through the bowl.  It has a sort of nutty taste - I like it.

I am guessing they are probably pretty similar then.  The kasha also has a nutty taste.  It had to grow on me, but now I love it.

I cooked the kasha in chicken broth, sauted onion, zuchini, mushrooms, tofu...whatever you like....mix into the kasha whatever desired amount of low fat cheddar cheese and low fat/fat free sour cream you want (I don't follow recipes btw LOL).  cover the bottom of a baking dish with that, then put a layer of the sauted veggies/tofu on top, then another layer of the kasha mix, then cover with cheese, bake until bubbly.  It was really good!

Still here, and still hanging in there, but I actually gained .2 lbs since Sunday.  Oh well.. I know it's just a little plateau, and I have been working hard, so I'm going to try to just push through it.  This weekend will be tough, as we will be travelling to Upstate NY for my MIL's 80th birthday party!  Ugh....

Ok.. well... We'll see how I do on Monday!

Have a good weekend all and wish me luck with sticking with this during travel@@@

Bad food day yesterday...very bad.  I'm doing better today, though have not eaten enough.  I had a protein bar for breakfast and half a roast beef sandwich on rye for lunch.  Having chicken breasts with veg for dinner and have a bunch of healthy snacks I have to make myself eat...cheese, sf pudding, edamame, celery, apples and peanut butter, nuts.

Got in all my vitamins and working on my liquids.
