ENDOSCOPY Scheduled

I've also had numerous endoscopies over the past 6 years because of severe reflux esophagitis.  This last one, just before my WLS, was the only one I had a sore throat after and it wasn't all that severe.  Just made me a little hoarse.  And since my reflux has disappeared since my WLS, I may not have to have any more.

I have to go for my pre-op endoscopy on Feb 4.  They called me today to let me know that this was something new the surgeon was starting on all WLS patients.   I've never had one done, but I do have a sore throat now and thinking about it is not helping.  Hopefully, I won't have any ill effects.  My WLS surgeon is doing it in the hospital.

Seriously, though, if you are going to need to go back to a gastroenterologist, you may want to find a different one.  We all deserve better than that.

Hello its me again if you want me to I can give you the name of the doc that did my scope and it was a pleasant experience.  Not kidding.  They knock you out and then the next thing you know someone is waking you up and no sore throat.  I have said this a million times...don't like your doc kick them to the curb.  There are too many good doctors around to put up with this stuff.  If I had a doctor that made me miserable they would only do it one time and then I am so out of there quick, fast and in a hurry.

I knew you were trouble, it's alway's the quiet ones you have to look out for! You are right though, If I had just done it, I would have been done already.  OH well, hindsight is 20/20.

It's scheduled for the 10th of February. It was the soonest I could get.  It's not until 1:00 and I can't eat ANYTHING after midnight the night before.  Can you believe it? I'm not in love with the gastroenteroloist AT ALL! LOL
